Worst experience ever at a hotel. To begin with we were handed the wrong keys for our rooms and given NO keys for entry into the actual building. This absolutely ruined the weekend as we were forced to sleep on the streets. We woke up and returned to the hotel with a cold and was given no apology or explanation just was told the door is now fixed and to turn the handle the other way. Instead of a refund for the card payment we was told that they do not accept payments from here and we must pay, they took cash by PayPal and cash in hand after threatening to kick us out on New Year's Eve. We were completely helpless after travelling 200 miles from home. The hotel was very cold with heating coming on and off sporadically, the shower heating situation was exactly the same with the temperature fluctuating, there was no TV, mattresses were old and worn. The bed foundation was broken as one side of the bed was about 10cm higher. The walls were yellow with orange stains, you could tell the walls were once white.
Las sábanas no estaban limpias y a nuestra habitación no llegaba el Wifi. Aunque las habitaciones a la primera vista están muy bien luego tiene detalles de falta de higiene.
Si es decir que la gente muy agradable y de muy buen trato.
This was ideal for what we needed. Great if your going to Liverpool for a night out. A clean room above a pub, staff are really canny and helpful. You can go back to the room at any time of night/early morning (providing you remember the code to get back in ha)
Would definitely book again if ever back in Liverpool. It was basically like staying at a mates house.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Clean hotel, close to Liverpool centre
Rooms decorated nicely, sky box within the bed room, staff were all lovely, only downside is the shared bathroom
The Park has received unfair reviews. I was uncertain about booking here when I saw other people's opinions of the place but I must say that they are totally unjustified.
Let's get one thing out of the way first: noise
If you're retired and looking for a peaceful weekend break, don't blame a pub hotel for catering to it's guests at night time by having music and celebration.
I actually like background noise when I'm sleeping so the music at night didn't bother me in the slightest.
That may be because I'm still in my twenties but I did check the hotel description beforehand so complaining about noise is a bit cheeky!
The room was immaculate, the service was superb and the shared bathroom isn't even a problem because it's kept so clean.
My only criticism would be that in November the room can get very cold.
Thick bed sheets nearly compensate for this but I still wasn't quite as warm as I wanted to be.
However, for the price I paid I still felt spoiled. I've stayed in more expensive hotels and been less comfortable.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at The Park and I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in Liverpool again.
I know £20 for a twin room isn't expensive and the "you get what you pay for", however, seriously, unless you are coming direct from the Calais Jungle and are only staying in Liverpool for Asylum reasons then please don't stay at this "hotel/pub".
I'm sure they have heating, hot water and WIFI in the Calais Jungle, they don't here.
If you want to true Haloween experience where you will spend the entire night petrified that you'll be mugged by the local gangs of kids or your car will be vandalised than this is the place to be. Seriously, I've done 3 tours of Afghan and felt much safer (and relaxed)
I'm not dising the local area as an "outsider" as I was dragged up in Tuebrook, I just didn't realise how bad it is now, no wonder I joined the Army at 16!
If you feel the cop station opposite will give you "piece of mind" that you'll be safe, it won't, it just means their response time to your impending incident with the local kids will be reduced, to about 3 hours.
Life is to short to have to experience places like this, just stay away, stay at home, do anything else. Just don't book here.
