"Brilliant property, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with 2 kids and our dog. "

"A well designed layout making the most of the amazing view! Very comfortable beds and lovely powerful shower with plenty of hot water! Great outside space especially the patio which we enclosed off at back by putting some of the outside chairs across so our dogs could be free, a little gate here would be a great added extra. The balcony was lovely to sit out on on our good weather days! Very short walk of about 2 mins to the beach. Large pebbles at high tide but sand in parts at low tide which our dogs enjoyed. We saw dolphins from the property which of course made my day! Large kitchen but unfortunately this is where a couple of cleanliness issues arose! Dirty oven and grill, crumbs in drawers, old food in freezer dated a month earlier, dirty looking t towels, very well used baking sheets with the coating coming off, saucepans and frying pan very scratched with worry that coating had come off too! Im afraid when youre paying good money, you do expect good things! I took it up with the company whilst staying there and David immediatly ordered new baking sheets! The oven was deep cleaned recently but he will check it along with the pans etc! He took onboard all i said, so hopefully those things will all improve! It would not put me off staying ever, just when you turn up after a long journey and you want to put tea on whilst you unpack, and see all that, it doesnt start you off in the best frame of mind. But everyday the experience got more positive! We did alot of travelling around but our favourite thing was coming back to our holiday home with the fabulous view. It really is very special. Book it!"

"House is tired and could do with some renovation.Only central heating in lounge therefore kitchen and dining room too cold to use. Upstairs shower unusable as water cold. No handrail on stairs for elderly parents.Scaffolding outside house. No outside lighting. No signage to house/concealed entrance."

"Good value but the whole house could do with a thorough deep clean and a review of condition of fixing and fixtures plus updating. It would also be good to ensure there are suitable kitchen pans and tools as would be expected for a house that houses 10 occupants. As well as a deep clean, it would be nice that someone ensured all cutlery and plates were in a clean state prior to being occupied as we had to wash everything before use. Despite this we had an excellent short stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage. There were some initial issues which were resolved by the owner very promptly. The information from Oyster Cottages describes a Superking size bed in the main room, It is a very comfy bed in a lovely room but it is only a Kingsized. The two singles in the 2nd bedroom downstairs can be converted to a Superking size though. My score of 3 on cleanliness is due to this being an old property and there were inevitable cobwebs in nooks and crannies but we found some of the kitchen items not to have been cleaned properly by the previous occupants. This was rectified immediately by the owner. The towels bedding and furniture were spotless. The cottage is very old with thick walls which means it stays cool in the summer. I imagine in the winter with the log burner it is very toasty. It does have electric radiators throughout. The kitchen has all the basics needed except a potato peeler. The living room is comfy and the TV links to all major streaming services with your own account. If you are using the bedrooms upstairs they are very steep like on a ship and so I'd be happier with children 6 - 12 using them but maybe not younger. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful and there are walks from the door. But you are also very close to the main A and B roads for exploring the whole of the peninsula. After a day out with the tourist crowds it was lovely to come back and be in the quiet countryside. Overall we had a really relaxing week, we would be happy to stay in the cottage again but we have probably " done" the Lynn Peninsula as we are not "sit and play on a beach" people. If you are there, are plenty of opportunities to do that on beautiful beaches all close to the Cottage. We particularly liked the look of LLanbedrog."
