"Front desk personnel, Caroline in particular, were very helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Room was spacious and accommodating. Breakfast was very generous. The town itself has a bit of a rundown grande dame feel to it but is perfectly suited for area sightseeing and visiting nearby distilleries."

"Lovely small hotel in a great location with free parking outside, Breakfast included, have the Loch Fyne Kipper. A little tatty in places but legitimate wear and tear over a no doubt busy season. Friendly and helpful staff. We stopped before getting ferry to Islay/Jura and again on way back. Also has an excellent pub next door …"

"Wow this place is immaculate! Arrived and received clear instructions how to access the property, was blown away with how clean it was. Beautiful location on the largely overlooked west side of the island, with loads of cool things nearby like the Kings Caves, Cafe Thyme, and only a 15 min walk to the Kinloch Hotel which has a nice bar where you can sit at the window and watch the sunset over the sea. It is the perfect location to base yourself to explore Arran. The chalet has loads of character, is really cosy, and has everything you need to enjoy a family holiday. Dealing with Kris the host was a breeze and you can tell he really takes care of the place. I would definitely recommend here to stay and hope to get time to come back again."
