"The deluxe room was a plus for the couple in our group of 4. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were so glad to have stayed multiple nights at the Smithton. The food was grand!"

"Unfortunately it was massively over priced but this was due to the Loch Ness marathon weekend. We stayed 2 nights and were very disappointed that we didn't get breakfast on the first morning due to having to leave early for the marathon. I think they could have offered to open half hour earlier personally considering that there were a lot of runners staying at the hotel! The breakfast the next day was nice enough though so no complaints there. They had no chef for evening meals which we weren't told about before coming up either so later Saturday night we had to go out and look for food which was tricky given it was a really busy weekend for the city! When we booked there was nowhere to click double "bed" so unfortunately we had 2 single beds. When I asked about it after checking my invoice the lady behind the desk said that I had to stipulate when booking even though I clicked double room!! The lady on reception on the day we checked out however was very lovely. She booked us a taxi and she was very helpful."

"We liked having on demand tea and coffee available downstairs for no extra charge. The breakfast was nice too but it would have been good if each item had labels on it to make identifying gluten free options easier so we didn't have to find someone to ask. The rooms also have no air con so if the weather had been any warmer, it may have been a bit uncomfortable. They do provide a fan though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at reception."

"From the moment we arrived at the culloden house we received five star service. We stayed at the house for 3 nights. The staff went above and beyond to make our first trip to Scottland great. The facility amenities and room were very clean. We ate breakfast and dinner which were great! The bar service was great! The garden was beautiful. We picked apples off a tree located in the garden and fed the highland cows which are located in a pasture behind the house. The hotel has a gentlemen that plays the bagpipes outside at 6 pm each night. I would like to specifically mention George and Kyle who were very attentive to our needs before we even asked. Scott was an amazing bar tender! They treated us like family! I would recommend this stay and plan to go back with my children in a couple of years. This was one of six hotels we stayed in while traveling around Scottland for 2 weeks and it was by far the best. We did not receive this kind of service, amenities, or cleanliness at the other hotels."

No matter how high your expectations, I can pretty much guarantee that this place will exceed them. It's that good. A beautiful house, every detail thought through, wonderful location. This place has it all. If you're planning to stay in the Inverness area to explore Scotland, book this place. You won't regret it."
