3 bedroom, sleeps 6, beautiful Village in the centre of Ireland
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our time at Una’s VRBO in the charming village of Multyfarnham. This 3 bed, 3 bath house was just what we needed for a “home base” while exploring around Ireland after a few busy days in crowded Dublin. All the bedrooms were upstairs, which was perfect for us (but is just something to note for anyone with mobility challenges). There’s plenty of living and dining space downstairs, and ample free parking in town. The space was beautiful and clean! As a bonus, Una and her husband own the local award-winning bar and restaurant right next door which we were able to try twice during our stay! Mullingar is about 15 mins away by car, which has any essentials, but there’s also a small grocery store in the town of Multyfarnham for your needs. We will definitely be staying again when we come back to Ireland. This was a good home base for day-trips to Sligo and Galway. We also got to see lots of other hidden gems along the way (e.g., Carrick on Shannon and Athlone)."
"Everything about hotel was amazing , couldn’t fault it . Only fault I had was noise out front at weekends when bars are all closing . Ok if I wasn’t away with children so advise get a room at back if have kids with you . But that’s not hotel fault . I would defs stay again ."
Renovated farmhouse rural setting,1km from Co Meath village

"Glenboy is an amazing country home. Set outside of Oldcastle, the picturesque landscape and proximity to adventures is unmatched. Each room has blackout curtains, comfortable beds, and an en suite bathroom with plenty of hot water. Our host is very knowledgeable about pretty much everything and quickly responded to our questions. We had a fantastic vacation at Glenboy."
"The hotel is conveniently located just a short drive from the town. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the buffet breakfast was a great start to each day."
"Sue and Dave are the sweetest folks with the most lovely property. We ended a three week road trip at their castle and we could not have been happier. Our accommodations were comfortable, clean, and incredibly beautiful! I needed an ironing board and Sue ran one over to me. Then the iron tripped a circuit and Dave came over to show us which one to flip. My husband and I chatted with them at length one evening and they gave us a peek into the larger house. Their entire property is just gorgeous and we feel so lucky to have stayed there. We can’t wait to come back!"
"This is a lovely renovated ancient stone tower with very thick walls, flagstone floors, arched roof, etc. The renovated kitchen functions well and the bathroom and shower provide instant hot water! It is a very old building that we picked for it's character and it provided in spades. I was surprised how much light did enter the rooms, wwe didnt need the heat and usually had the door opened wide for sun and ventilation. Dave and Sue were wonderful hosts, Ruby's on-site bakery provided fresh sourdough, and evening drinks in the courtyard sun where great memories were made. It was a great spot for exploring the Ancient East area by car and bike."
