We sadly got a room that hadn’t been redecorated for about 50 years. It was unlike any photo on Expedia, so was misleading. We didn’t pay a lot of money for the room but it was still not good value for money nor looked like the photo I clicked when I booked. The bathroom was dated and there was mould with a funny old smell to it. The corridors and the rest of the property had been refurbished and are very good. I assume that many rooms have been refurbished and are to a good standard. The facilities and location are very good. Our room however was in a poor state and it wouldn’t take much to make better.
When I arrived I had an online business call. The WiFi wasn’t good enough for a video call. My phone reception in the room wasn’t brilliant either.
Having said all this, we didn’t pay loads for the room £88. Although probably only worth £60-£65 for the room we got. It did however do the job for 1 night.
