"Family trip had 3 rooms under my name they wanted me to pay over 1,700 deposit fees for all three rooms they took it down to 1,200. Still crazy!!! Room 1806 was not cleaned bathroom was terrible hair everywhere "

"The hotel is beautiful, however not very functional unless you are a solo traveler. The bathroom is a small glass box that you can hear/see everything through, which is not ideal when someone else is in the room. The shower floods across the whole bathroom floor because there is no door separating the shower and toilet, so you will be standing in a puddle when using the restroom unless you dry it up. Also extremely disappointed in the actual check in process. We arrived earlier in the day and inquired about early check in, to which the staff at the desk said the room was not ready yet but that they would place us on a “priority list” and give us a call when it was ready. So we stored our luggage and went to kill some time. We arrived back at 3pm, the original check in time, and were told that our room just needed to be ‘inspected’. So we sat in the lobby and waited for almost two hours for our room to be ready, until we couldn’t anymore as we had a reservation. I asked the front desk if there was an ETA on the room and they said they could not provide one, but they would call and email me once the room was available. So we stored our luggage again and left. We did not receive a call or email at all letting us know our room was ready. We were finally able to check in around 9pm when we got back to the hotel. Not being able to provide early chen in is understandable, but to promise a 3pm check in and not be able to provide a r"

"The room is well laid out and very clean. The elevators are probably the quickest/available than any other hotel in Manhattan. We like the LES. The beds are smaller than queens which was disappointing. In addition, we would only see 1 staff person in the lobby and sometimes we saw none."

"The staff were very friendly when I checked in and throughout my entire stay! The valet was convenient, much easier than trying to find parking elsewhere. There was no in-and-out for the valet while I was there, but it’s the city, a million things are in walking distance; so, if you don’t mind that, it really is wonderful place to stay. I’ve stayed in 4 hotels in the past two months in NY, and this one was actually my favorite! It was extremely clean as well, absolutely no problems with cleanliness during my stay! ◡̈ Will stay again, most definitely."

"Great hotel. Beautiful location, and accessible to lots of restaurants. However, sleepless nights. The outside noise really does make it difficult to sleep. "

"The 1st time I stayed everything was great 5 stars! 2nd time I had almost none of the usual amenities. No microwave, no ironing board, no iron, no remote control, no blow dryer, barely had any TP lol. They were able to give me a few things after a couple of asks, but still frustrating when you are trying to get settled. I can understand that they may have been low on rooms so I will probably give it another try for a future trip. Perfect location, good priced breakfasts for NYC, clean comfortable rooms overall. "I had a very disappointing stay at the Canal Loft Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt unwelcoming. The front desk staff member was either on her phone or outside smoking for most of our stay, which made us feel like we were inconveniencing her whenever we needed basic assistance, even something as simple as checking in. The room itself had several issues. The shower barely functioned, making it difficult to get proper water pressure or temperature. The toilet seat was cracked, which was both uncomfortable and concerning from a hygiene standpoint. On top of that, the heater seemed to dry out the air so much that it irritated my sinuses throughout the night. The worst part of our stay came on the last day, when we discovered cockroaches in the room. That was completely unacceptable and overshadowed everything else. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend staying here."

"Rooms are not for 3 people, so tiny. Beds are not double, twin. Two people can not sleep together. Room is not clean and too old but but a classic. Maybe good for single travelers but not for the families. "
