Our 3rd visit in just over 12 months, we love it here. When the suns out it’s even better, being able to sit and have a drink in the manicured gardens. Of course the highlight is the food, simply superb, a little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.

Really lovely spot, stayed for one night before the races at Ludlow which is 15 minutes away. Had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Stayed in room 8 which has a 4 poster and a large bathroom. Staff were excellent.
What a find! We were so impressed with everything we found that we stayed an extra night. The food is exceptional- the dinner was outstanding and even the breakfast is a feast.
The staff make an effort to provide a warm
and helpful atmosphere. The rooms are luxurious with carefully chosen extras. The
Courtyard garden is full of box hedges and bulbs. A joy!
A very refined country hotel, fine dining was excellent quality. Vey helpful and friendly staff. Away from the hustle and bustle . An very well stocked bar with good wines and an extensive whisky selection.
I cannot recommend it enough
Disappointed with this venue after reading so many good reviews. Overall it looks dated and rather tired but the setting is beautiful and the staff were very pleasant. The food was very good and we enjoyed the tastes and textures the chef put together
I have eaten in Michelin starred restaurants but this was as good as these. Room was impeccable and staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Every possible detail had been considered, from the umbrella hanging outside the room, to the pre dinner nibbles.
First rate experience from check-in to departure. The location, in the middle of a country estate, means it is quiet and secluded, and the meals are outstanding.

What a beautiful place to stay at ! A real gem that we were lucky enough to stumble upon. We will certainly be back one day and recommend to all our friends. Faultless !!!!!!
Needed a place close to Shropshire to visit rellys - my wife found this online and the photos and reviews were stellar.
The longest, twistiest single lane country road with flocks of bantams took 15 minutes to reach the lodge from theain A road. Crazy!
Fortunately, no one came the other direction so only the wildlife provided the hazards.
The lodge is a converted barn/stables/something old and quirky.
It has wifi and very polite staff. Nod to Winter and Tomasz who made our first night with great wine and cider, nibbles and such.
This is a fine dining restaurant (no room service) and what is on the menu is just that- no exceptions. I overheard that the menu does not change much; seasonally I think so maybe not dine here for your entire stay as it is rich dining, too. Not a fan of rich fancy dining but it was well prepared and presented.
No AIR CON but a fan is supplied to make you feel the hot air circulate around you.
Breakfast was very good locally sourced fare. Really very good.
The lodge is close to Ludlow where they have many concerts which must be fun and certainly would look at making this part of our next visit to this part of the world but be aware only small twisty roads so no motorways and plenty of slow moving heavy farm machinery to ensure a long leisurely drive.
We were going for a night away. It was convenient to drive to. The meal was very good and the service was also good. The waiting staff were very attentive at both the evening meal and breakfast. Beautiful countryside.
Faultless. Beautiful accommodation with the most comfortable of beds and an amazing shower. Just loved it. We also dined and we’re treated to real gourmet food. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Fine but very expensive for what it was. Bed and seats very old and uncomfortable. Also very isolated so a long drive on pot-holed lanes.
Wonderful.
Cannot rate eco friendly as no idea what is required.
Bedside lights were not good for reading in bed and would have preferred squashy armchairs or sofa to the sit up and beg armchairs.
Small criticisms.
Food was exceptional and it was peaceful and quiet in gorgeous countryside.
