Atmosphere is historic and romantic. Views are excellent, pool and hot tub were exhilarating.
Both restaurants were charming and food was delicious.
I would stay again!
Great location, friendly staff, and a room that was in excellent condition. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Hotel location is perfect for those visiting near Luray Caverns. It is located on top of a hill that gives guests a great view of the Mount and the surrounding areas.
This is a wonderful historic property and I’d recommend to anyone. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was VERY comfortable. The staff was amazing and the food was great.
The hotel room was well maintained but still keeps the historic feel. Eating on the veranda was a highlight of our stay - enjoying the scenic mountain views while enjoying the tasty food.
Anyone looking for a place to unwind/relax away from all the city chaos/noise…this is the best place to be. Nature surrounding the area is totally breathtaking. There’s nothing that I don’t like about the place.
I needed to stay for 1 nights while visiting the Luray Caverns. This hotel was beautiful and historic. The room was delightful and comfortable. Location was great. The restaurant on site served delicious French Onion Soup. Would definitely stay here again.
The staff was great and helpful. The rooms/hotel were clean. The food was reasonable priced and was good. I ate in the speakeasy for dinner and the Circa 31 for breakfast. The only thing that may have been better is no fridge in the room. Also it would have been nice to have streaming on the tv. But being a historic hotel, I get it. Overall, our experience was great!
The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, very quiet.
My only complaint would be that you have to lay on the couch to watch the TV as it is in an armoire and can't be seen from the bed.
Beautiful view. Restaurant down stairs was good.
Beautiful property! We enjoyed meandering into the town and found some cool little spots to hang out, one with live music. Ending the day with drinks and apps on the porch surrounded by amazing views was wonderful. The staff was friendly as well. We will be back!
I am a frequent traveler and can say from experience that the room we were given was not up the expectations. Mimslyn is advertised as a quality hotel yet our bathroom was not clean. The shower floor was dirty and we complained to the front desk but we were told they were fully booked and could not move us. The desk clerk made no effort to assist us. The bar food was terrible but the Sunday brunch was worth the cost. That is our only recommendation.
I think this is the cutest place to stay that makes you feel warm and cozy! I like the views from the Terrance on the third floor too. I would stay here every time I came to this area.
