  • Located on St. George Hill, over-looking the city of Lviv, the church was the perfect target for destruction in the past. At least two versions of the St. George Cathedral were built before the final construction of the church as it is seen today. The Cathedral of St. George became the mother congregation of the Greek-Catholic religion in Ukraine. The St. George Cathedral in Lviv, is home to one of the most treasured relics, which was brought to the cathedral by Bishop Jiseph Shumlianskyi in 1674. It is the Icon of the Virgin Mary, and is a spectacular and preserved artifact. The interior was decorated with luxurious embellishments created by the local artistic talents of Lviv. Pinsel, the sculptor of the cathedral, created the spectacular St. George (known as the Dragon Slayer) statue. The St. George statue can be viewed in the attic of the cathedral, while the intimidating statues of St. Athanasius and St. Leo protect the portal. Renovations to the St. George Cathedral took place in the 1996, restoring the original beauty of the cathedral. Tourists, visiting this amazing historical masterpiece will not be disappointed. Over and above the cathedral, visitors can also visit the belfry, walk through the peaceful gardens or enter the final resting place of many important figures of the past in the tombs below the cathedral.

  • Lovely view of old Lviv from the top of the tower in the center of Ploscha Rynok. That's the Latin Cathedral, one of the oldest still-active churches in the city. To climb the tower, go up the first four flights of stairs to the ticket desk. The way is clearly marked with signs in multiple languages, including English. At the desk, pay 10 hrivna and then keep climbing up, up, and up until you reach the open deck at the top of the tower. Then enjoy the view!

Business traveler's delight

Brand new hotel located easy walking distance away from the old town. Room was super clean, be it on a smaller side of what I am used to in States. Of course can't beat the price! Breakfast was included and plentiful. Cable TV includes CNN international. Great views from the top story restaurant.

It was an excellent room, clean, cozy and friendly staff. I got there exhausted from a long flight and they brought food to my room and made my stay very pleasant.

Good hotel to stay for couple of days.

in overall it was good. This is not my first time staying at this hotel. The only discomfort I faced, they transferred me to next hotel they have, Taurus SPA, and this hotel is one star less than what I booked and paid, but this was due to the CoronaVirus situation so I could understand. Anyways, I didn't face any difficulties during my stay. Room was a bit cold, but they provided an additional heater.

Great hotel a little North West of the centre

Comptitively priced hotel in the North Western part og Lviv. If one doesn’t have to stay right in the heart of the centre, this hotel is a viable option. Very fine breakfast at the top floor, if the weather is fine one can sit outside. In my opinion the breakfast was in the better end of Ukrainian hotel breakfasts and especially for this price category of hotels. Quiert area, friendly receptionists, easy check-in and out. I will most likely use this hotel again at some point.

Gute Lage (max 20 Minuten zu Fuss bis zur Oper); großes Zimmer, sehr sauber, super Bad, funktionell und dabei gemütlich, Steckdosen, viele Kleiderbügel, großer Schreibtisch, bequeme Sessel. Lift. Clean modern hotel with gracious hosts. The included breakfast was good and the hotel is in a quiet part of town but only a 15 minute walk from city center. Had a payment mix up on check in but it was resolved in an expeditious manner. One of the better places to stay in Lviv.

Amazing hotel! 5 star

I stayed 5 nights and the hotel was better than expected. Everything was clean and fresh. The rooms with all extras you can need except iron. As a lover of good breakfasts the breakfast was rich and made with love. The personal from the restaurant very friendly and helpful. The cakes amazing, the dinner fanzy, the only thing I would like to see more if the portions were little larger. I strongly recomend you this hotel and I will defently stay there again!
