"We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Şahin 1. The villa is spacious, beautifully maintained, and set in the most peaceful location with breathtaking views over the mountains and coastline. Waking up each morning to that view was a real highlight.The house had everything we needed and more, with a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of outdoor seating areas, and a lovely private pool which was cleaned daily. It was perfect for our two young children, who played in the fantastic pool all day.Our host Mehmet was fantastic. He was warm, welcoming, and always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. He also recommended a taxi driver when we didn’t fancy driving into town for dinner. We did this several times with the fabulous Onur, whose number we left on the fridge in the kitchen (90 (543) 945 18 40). A simple WhatsApp with the time you want to be collected or picked up is all it takes. He was one of the nicest people we met in Turkey; genuine, great with the kids, and by the end of our stay he felt like a friend. The fares were also very reasonable.Kalkan itself is only a short drive away with plenty of amazing restaurants, shops, and the harbour. We also loved the tranquillity of Uzumlu where the villa is located. We had the best of both worlds, peaceful and private yet close enough to explore everything the area has to offer.We could not recommend the Villa highly enough. It is a perfect retreat for anyone looking for comfort, space and a truly special setting"

"The property had everything we needed and the AC works well. The property is dated and this is reflected in the price. The owners live next door so we felt safe and supported by them. "

"The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I could only stay one night. There was no hot water! I went to the bathroom and washed myself with ice cold water. Although I had a reservation at the hotel, there was no room when I arrived. The bathroom of the room doesn't even have a door. The internet they provide is slower than a snail. The guys carrying the luggage are extremely greedy, all they care about is tips. Even if they don't help, they don't leave without getting a tip. They are so shameless. This is the first time I've come across such a bad hotel. If it was possible, I would give it zero stars."

"We stayed here for 2 nights. 4 Friends traveling Turkey. The hospitality and service received from Nazli, her husband and staff were really out of this world. They treated us as if we have been friends for years. Rooms, bedding, towels, bathroom and dining room area is best from 6 cities we traveled during our Turkey tour. Her husband even went out of this way to show us a beach frequented only by locals. Every morning the breakfast was out of this world. We enjoyed the cay in this the evenings with the hosts. Definitely an accommodation we would recommend to everyone wanting to travel to Kas region. From Cape Town, South Africa, Thank you Nazli and family. Memories we will always remember."

"A really beautiful pool and bar area, no noisy music around the pool so really relaxing during the day. The rooms are simply furnished but comfortable. Nearby Patara beach can be reached in 30 minutes but the tourist tax - €15 - to get in is very high. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to return. "

"Building site on two sides. Refrigerator units running 24/7 to side of house. Fabricating workshop to rear-grinding/welding shouting and loud music until 9pm. Over powering Stench of urine and faeces around the pool from goat shed next door and don’t forget 3 cockerels at it all day everyday. We left early "
