  • Large wing of a property on an Arable working farm, ideal for friends and family wanting to explore The Forest of Dean and surrounding areas. There is a gym opposite the property and fresh milk and eggs are available on the farm. . Ground Floor:

    Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

    Bathroom: Corner Bath With Shower Over, Toilet

    Second Floor:

    Bedroom 3: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Highchair and stairgate. Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area. Private parking for numerous cars. No smoking.. Situated within the grounds of the owner’s working farm, an excellent base in which to explore the delights that the Forest of Dean has to offer. In the Forest of Dean itself, there are many picnic sites, pathways and cycle tracks to be found. Outdoor activities are plentiful with horse riding and canoeing available in the local area and the cathedral city of Gloucester is within easy driving distance. Views of the River Severn can be had from the property. Dean Heritage Centre, Dean Forest Railway and Tintern Abbey are all nearby. There is good fishing, RSPB reserves, horse riding, golf, tennis and excellent walking and cycling opportunities locally. Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, Monmouth and the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford are within easy driving distance. Pub and restaurant 3 miles.

The Coach House Lydney

Lovely property, child friendly garden, good views and very friendly hosts. Would highly recommend and defiantly return.

Short trip for friends get together

We were due to be at a wedding that was cancelled, and had this property booked for a few of us to stay over (3 couples) i was unable to get hold of the property owner to try to arrange a change of date - i suspect this is because it was listed on VRBO and seemed to have cottages.com (or similar) as the owner - i assume there's too many bits in between you and the owner when using Vrbo as the message system. However, before i checked in i was given details of how to get there - i'd say, aim for Lydney golf course and turn left on the track. It's very simple. We were meeting friends in Chepstow in the evening - which was a £30 taxi back All in all - the property is a perfect size for 3 couples, would definitely recommend, and a good base for walking.
