"Loved this stay! Everything in the room was set up for an easy stay, from plenty of outlets in convenient locations to the requisite number of towels. The property and rooms were clean and well kept. Staff were among the friendliest I’ve encountered. And if all that isn’t enough, they’re dog friendly and without an extra pet fee. Top marks!"

"Spotless, serene, and truly welcoming!We loved every minute of our weekend stay. The hosts made us feel right at home with their friendly, genuine warmth. You could tell how much care goes into maintaining the property—it was, without a doubt, one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. Combined with the peaceful beach ambiance and tranquil surroundings, it was a pure bliss retreat. Highly recommended!"

"This was my favorite place we stayed in Cape Breton. I wish we had had more time to explore the area. Behind the hotel is a historic site that can be explored on foot. The best thing was the music! We were able to see the weekly jam with trad music (mostly Cape Breton, some that seemed more Irish and possibly even American old-time-y) and loved it."

"Great stay at this Motel. The manager/owner was super friendly and kind checking us in with a welcoming smile. The room was very comfortable and modern but shows some minor signs of aging but not a big deal. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated an excellent breakfast which included eggs, sausages, hash browns, toast, cereal, yogurt and pancakes!!!. So great to be able to have this then get underway to continue our journey. It is only 10 mins from Baddeck where lots of activities were taking place. Be sure to take in the Baddeck Gathering Community Ceilidhs at the community hall at 6 Margaree road in town. They are so fun!!!"

"Great place to stay, nice and quiet on the lake. Easy check in and check out. There was no hair dryer which was a little rough for me, but after i checked and couldn’t find one i checked the listing and one wasn’t indicated so bad on my part. But normally rentals provide one, so I will make sure I check for that on future rentals."

"Wonderful updated lakefront cottage. Friendly and and generous host had stocked refrigerator with farm fresh eggs, milk and butter. Overall well-stocked pantry. Access via ferry is easy, fast, and free. Efficient ferry system takes less than 10 minutes and runs 24-7, so don't let that deter you. Convenient to both Cabot Trail and Louisbourg Fortress. Would stay again."
