We traveled to Mackinac Island for a girls trip and we had an amazing stay at the Murray hotel. The staff was top tier - very friendly and extremely helpful without being pushy or "fake" about it. From the luggage service to the complimentary offerings, they were excellent. We had a 1 year old in tow and the staff made sure she felt special and helped us with keeping her milk refrigerated and ready to go whenever we came to the desk. The island itself was a great experience and the Murray hotel simply added to our trip's lovely charm. Highly recommend!

Staying at the Murray Hotel is a full experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and well kept. I felt like I’d stepped back in time staying at this hotel but there were still many modern amenities. The staff was very friendly in our rooms were very clean. It was nice to be right on the main street which made everything was close. The rocking chairs on the front porch were very nice to sit at and just watch the day or night go by. There is a nice little spa area that I wish we had would’ve had time to use.

Staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The room had antique decor which is consistent with the island. Location was in the middle of the Main Street and easy to find, enter/exit. Bathroom/shower was clean and without issue.

Great central location to downtown. Although they didn’t have a great sitting area to enjoy your coffee in the morning, we would definitely come back here again just because of the convenience and the fact that they don’t charge $700 a night.

The beds need to be updated. Great location. Lots of hallways but cool pictures. Flooring in the bathroom was concerning but it’s an old historic building.

It was a wonderful hotel and location. We were there when the smoke from the fires was pretty bad. They must have very good filters as we didn’t smell the smoke from outside in our room at all. Porter worked VERY hard getting our bags to/from the dock. Tip those guys well. Their job must feel never ending.

Nice older hotel. No microwave or fridge in room. No bike parking, needed to move bikes in the evening down a block next to Doud’s market. Didn’t hear other guests’ noise in the evenings as we have in other Mackinac hotels. Sauna/pool area was a very nice amenity. The little balcony was a good enough space in the mornings for coffee and got no direct sunlight, which was fine for us.
