"The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. "We stayed for two night cause were visiting Udawalawe national park, which is about 30mis away so the hotel is a very good basepoint. Hotel is a walking distance from bus station and town central. Arrived and got complimentary drinks, super nice welcome and info of jeep/driver arrangements for the safari. The safari is a couple of dollars more expensive if you get it through the hotel but so easy, I highly recommend doing it that way. You get breakfast to go and the jeep and driver were...

"This was one of the highlights of my month long travels in Sri Lanka. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the glamping tents are stunning and the host can’t do enough for you.
