"We absolutely loved our stay at the Rockland Talbot House. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable. The property is a beautiful, well kept house from the 1800's with lots of character and original pieces. The Inn has a wonderful coffee machine with hot lattes, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and other pastries for breakfast as well as fresh fruit, juices and yogurt. "This was exactly what we needed on our drive up to Acadia National Park. A clean, non-expensive hotel room to stay the night. We got delayed on our trip and the office left instructions on how to get the keys and get into our rooms, including a well drawn map.
I'm taking off 1 star simply b/c there were only 2 towels in each room even though the reservation had 4 people in each room. I'm sure Hotels put 2 towels in each room as they turn them over, but it's a pet peeve of mine that someone...
