Spacious authentic vacation rental in Normandy near Veulettes sur mer

A beautiful, charming home set in a garden of over half a hectare, just over 2 km from the sea. The house has a floor area of 90 square meters (15x6) and consists of a first floor and a first floor.
The house appears on maps dating back to before the French Revolution. It has a slate roof, and the walls are constructed of flint stones, chalk (in the interior walls), sandstone (hard rock), brick, and wood. We primarily used reclaimed materials during the restoration. Although you shouldn’t expect grand luxury, everything you need is provided. A new, fully equipped kitchen, an infrared sauna, 2 bedrooms, but ultimately enough space for 8 people (2 double beds, 2 single beds, and a sofa bed downstairs). Amenities include: a crib, a playpen, and a high chair. Heating is provided by a heat pump or the soapstone stove. When used properly, the stove can heat the entire house with a minimal amount of wood. The house is perfectly quiet! We do not offer Wi-Fi! The garden is approximately 7,500 square meters and divided into two sections. In the section where the house stands, we have planted a standard-tree orchard, hedges, flower beds, small fruit bushes, and all kinds of herbs. In the second section, behind the fence, there’s a large meadow covering half a hectare, bordered on two sides by centuries-old beech trees. In this section stands an old barn where swallows nest and, occasionally, an owl. Because we don’t mow the grass in the meadow until June, it’s buzzing with insects and teeming with small creatures. The soil is fertile. We’re located just over 2 km from the sea with its towering chalk cliffs, and nearby is the protected Durdent Valley, where various wading birds nest and where we’ve spotted otters and badgers. Further down the valley, organic farmers grow vegetables that are also available to the general public. The area is crisscrossed with hiking trails. We especially enjoy the salty sea air and the incredibly beautiful light at dusk.
