"Very spacious, clean and comfortably accommodation. The room opened onto a deck with outdoor furniture, overlooking the gardens at the front of the motel and the bay. The room was cosy and provides everything we needed for one night or a week. The location is exceptional overlooking the bay and with walking paths over the hills at the rear that lead into Coromandel. Delightful. The Coromandel Peninsula is so beautiful and we would love to visit again and would definitely stay at Harbour View...

While there were two extra beds in the lounge area (for families we assume), there was no comfortable seating for watching tv. "Our room had excellent views of the Bay, the garden was beautiful and quiet. Our room had no bug screen but a can of mosquito spray was provided. Regardless, we ended up with lots of mosquito bites, which really ruined our stay. If staying there, ask the owner for a room with bug screen."

"We always have a great stay at Sunset Motel. Check in is always a breeze with self check in. Diane (manager) is super lovely, always keen for a chat and helps out if we ever need anything. All the staff are great, very respectful of privacy especially during turnover service. Location is brilliant, clear view to the water if you are keen on fishing and need to check what’s happening. Reserve right next door if you bring your pup for exercise. Just a great property to relax or get away."
