Excellent makeover of a classic New England motel from the post-war era. Friendly owners—hoping they survive this COVID crisis. Would definitely return.

Relaxing and Great Location

While we did run into a couple issues, our stay overall was fantastic. The location is great for being near hiking trails and ski lodges. The rooms are very classy, and if you pay a little more you can get a room with a deck and hot tub, both of which were very relaxing and looked out to the mountain behind the motel. There’s also a pool right by the rooms which was well kept and felt great after a hot day of hiking. The couple that own and run the motel were very kind and accommodating, and gave us suggestions on where we could eat. There were only a few issues with the motel being closed for a few months before we came (due to COVID) and we were the first guests to stay our room in a while. I imagine the kinks will all be worked out when they have been open for another month or two. I would definitely come back, already thinking about a fall trip to see the leaves change!

Our stay at Rest was pleasant, clean, and comfortable. It was still finishing up the renovations. The only hitch would be access to coffee and or hot water at least if breakfast is served later than those of us heading to the slopes early. Thanks so much!

An old motel updated with new furniture and finishings. Loved the Idea of a private hot tub to relax in after a day of snowboarding! The in-room yeti is a great Idea in lieu of a fridge too. Though they offer the option to get a fridge for an extra $15, we didn't really need one. The girl who checked us in was very helpful when we asked about places to eat, and told us about the fresh donuts she puts out every morning from a local bakery (they were fantastic!).

The room was so cute and relaxing, with a Roku so we could watch Netflix! We always struggle at hotels with basic cable trying to find anything interesting to watch. The private hot tub was AMAZING! We felt so relaxed and kept saying we wished we booked for a second night. Will definitely be coming back!

Our room was very clean and nicely appointed. The rate was great for what you got and we loved that the room had a queen bed for my husband and I as well as bunk beds for my daughters - so hard to find! A few suggestions though that would go towards making this motel perfect - larger towels (these ones barely covered my very petite 13 year old), shelves in the bathroom to hold toiletries, tissues in room and extra rolls of toilet paper. The shower head barely sprayed enough water to keep you warm, so a larger one would be a huge improvement. The donuts and coffee in the morning were very nice. Last thing, we didn't realize that the front desk closed at 10pm, but the young woman was kind of enough to call me and check us in over the phone and set us up with a key. We would definitely come back

Easy check in to a clean and updated room. Bed was comfortable. Office was very nice and helpful. Few minor drawbacks were the door was very tight and difficult to open and shut, walls are very thin, and there was no box of Kleenex in the room.

Everything is brand new in the modern rooms, and having your own hot tub is a wonderful touch! Scenic back-porch view as well of the woods and river. Marissa at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly!

Nicely done renovation into a trendy, modern, clean and convenient place to stay, close to skiing and close to the activity within Manchester. We thought the room and bathroom was nicely remodeled, though the towels were quite small and thin and you need to request a hairdryer as one does not come in each room. We thought that for the price, combined with the location and cleanliness, make this an excellent value and would definitely stay again.

Perfect place to crash with a bunch of ski resorts within short driving distance. Several places to eat close by. The room itself was very clean and updated. Smart tv is provided, but if you dont have a streaming service that you can log into that could be an issue. I would stay here again.

Friendly staff, easy check in. Location is great, room was new and clean and has a Yeti cooler with ice pack. The only issue we experienced was with the hot tub. When we got in and turned on the jets the smell of chemicals was overwhelming and we had to get out. Even after showing our skin was burning and our suits were bleached and my silver necklace turned black. I would stay at this location again as the room, price and location were perfect.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Rest. The Hotel was recently renovated and it shows. While there are some quirks from it being a newer renovation. A few minor suggestions I would have is that some hooks be added to the closet area of the room (for coats or hanging up damp ski things), a boot tray so the carpet doesn't get mud/snow all over it, and ensuring that the room is up to temperature for check in. Other than that I loved the hot tub and the idea of using the yeti cooler instead of a refrigerator. Thanks again for a great stay! I'll definitely be returning.
