Originally built by ex-All Black Ant Strachan, designed for families to get-away, this bach is a top pick for NZ travellers, especially made for families and groups, top 10 finalist of book a bach 2021!

Modern purpose-built 9 bedroom beach house located just 30 metres from the waters edge.

- 10 minute walk to one of Northland's finest Link golf course and bowling club.
- 1 km from the Mangawhai Heads Shopping Centre, cafes and restaurants.
- The boat ramp is 250 metres down the same road as the beach house
- 6 off-street parks with a lockable gate
- Aircon in every room
- Indoor fire place
- BBQ for outdoor cooking
- Swing set and Trampoline to entertain kids

Large north facing deck for evening BBQ's. Additional north facing upper deck which is the perfect spot for breakfast or afternoon drinks.

Being fully fenced with a cot set up in 1 room, swings and a trampoline the property is very child friendly, sit back and let them roam at their own will.

Pricing starts from $85 per head per night at adult capacity (two-night minimum stay).

Special conditions and information:

*NO STAG DO'S* Events to be pre approved, No smoking indoors, Swing for toddlers only, $500 refundable bond required, any damages or extra cleaning will mean deductions from the bond upon receipt. Check in 3pm-check out 10am. Noise to be kept low outside after 10pm.

**NOTE: Small creek located at rear of section (through gate) - children must be supervised**

NOTE: Please bring your own beach towels. Extra blankets in winter are also advised to bring along if you would like a bit more warmth.

Such a beautiful place and perfect for a large group! We had a beautiful stay for the weekend with extended family. All the kids were entertained throughout and with the open areas, the adults were able to keep a look out while relaxing. Thank you!

We had an excellent family stay here. The house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 7 children (4 to 17). Clean, spacious, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and trampoline and swings for the kids.

Great property for a family get together. Outdoor fire and seating area was awesome. The only things we’d have liked is more seating in lounge (there were no bean bags by fire as shown in pictures) and towel rails needed in some bathrooms. Otherwise met our needs.

Not enough wine glasses for 8 pax, we bought 4 and left in cupboard to share. Coffee machine does not have the correct basket in coffee holder to brew the coffee. coffee grinds were very hard to get out to make next one which made a hell of a mess. We wasted a lot of the coffee. If you put the correct basket in it will make a nice coffee.

golf trip

We were a group of 7 golfing friends who did not wish to share bedrooms so the house was perfect for this. Great entertaining space, lovely outdoor BBQ area and all round really well appointed.Really enjoyed our stay.Thank you.

Perfect

Perfect for the group family stay with enough to slightly seperate the individual sleeping areas but bring us together in the socialising areas. Beach was a blink away, outdoor areas covered for rain and sun. All cooking condiments ( and coffee) available for a few days use.

Excellent

Communication leading up to our stay with Jasmin was outstanding. Perfect accommodation for the big group that stayed. 17 adults and 7 children aged from 4 years old to 6 months old. Swings and trampoline with enclosed fence around property meant the adults could relax knowing the kids were safe. Loved the fireplace for cooler evenings. Great vibe throughout the house. Comfortable beds and one portable cot and one fixed cot was handy for the little ones.Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Phenomenal house for big groups

Had the most amazing holiday here. 3 families, 10 kids in total and each family had our own section of the house and own bathroom. And there was space for a 4th family. Beautiful home, well stocked with laundry and dishwasher stuff and toilet paper, glad wrap etc which is always so handy with big groups. Fire places were brilliant, location was perfect. We just loved every minute. Host was really responsive too and even got a portacot for us to use. You won't be disappointed with this gorgeous home. An easy drive to so many great spots and a quick walk into town for supplies too

Perfect Place

This is our second stay for our bi-annual Aunties & Niece's weekend. There was 20 of us, beds for everyone, 4 bathrooms, and plenty of sharing space to gather, great tables for sitting together, and great outdoor spaces too. Also just a hop skip and jump to go for a swim, followed by a warm outdoor shower. Everything you need is catered for, hard to beat.

The house was huge and fully stocked with everything we needed. Just a 5min drive to the beach. There was so much fire wood and seperate relaxing areas. Communication was fast and great. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks

What an amazing place!!!

The Bach is super luxurious and spacious and in a greatlocation. It is so close to the estuary, shops and a short drive to the main beach. It located in a very nice and quiet street. And the host is very easy to communicate, and replying very quickly to any questions. We had such a wonderful time. Thanks Yasmin 😊

Amazing place for large groups.

We had a fabulous time, great location, so close to the beach/estuary or a short drive to the ocean beach. Ideal size and space for us all. There were 19 of us, 9 adults and 10 children aged from 13 years to 1 year old. They loved the swings and trampoline, couldn't find some of the toys mentioned, or the highchair. Loved the fabulous extra large outdoor table which was used for most meals.

Family New Year!

There were 14 of us aged from 11montgs to70! We stayed for 5 nights & had a wonderful time enjoying the privacy with so many bedrooms & the great seating areas. We loved sitting around the fire for evening drinks & after dinner fun. Fantastic, large house

We loved our stay at this house - it was perfect size for 3 couples and 8 kids. Kids loved all the different bedrooms and bunk arrangements and gave the adults lots of options of where to best sleep - beside the kids or the opposite end of the house! The large kitchen living area was great for so many of us and we never felt we were on top of each other. Unfortunately the kitchen lacked a microwave and decent can opener. Sadly the fire wasn't working which was one of the places best features and we were really looking forward to sitting outside in the evenings but I was notified it was broken a few days before our arrival. The yard was perfect for some outside cricket and soccer and the swings were a mega hit. Loved the location right by the estuary with easy walks and swims. We couldn't find any of the kids games/toys that was mentioned in the house write up which was a shame as I didn't bring many games because of this. There were also hardly any power plugs in the rooms and none in bathrooms. But overall this house was a perfect set up and size for this large group. The host was very responsive to all messages and in a timely manner. Thanks very much, we will be back!
