We came from a long-haul flight that arrived around 5 AM, so I had to book the room starting the night before to ensure I would have a room when I arrived in Manila. I had already communicated this arrangement in advance and was told that reception would be informed about our arrival.
However, when I arrived, I was told that someone stayed in the room and they have to clean it. Since I had technically already paid for the room for the previous night, I expected it to be available when I arrived. Instead, I had to wait for the previous guest and for the room to be cleaned. After a nearly 20-hour flight, this was extremely exhausting and frustrating. My family was also waiting to drop me off and needed to leave right away, so the unexpected delay was very inconvenient.
Unfortunately, after our first night, the air conditioning also stopped cooling properly. I ended up waking up around 2 AM because the room was too warm and I needed fresh air.
Overall, I believe there are better options if you’re looking for accommodation in Manila, especially near the airport. The only thing I can commend are the staff, who were all very friendly, accommodating and helpful at least.
