Checking in and out was easy. We were upgraded to a private cabin room with a king bed by the owner, which was unexpected but much appreciated. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Would stay again.

Happy we stayed

Scarborough was a pleasant, clean, and quiet place to stay. It had a fridge and microwave, so you couldn't cook there. It was average size, but we made due. It's on the main road in OBX, so very close to everything, very handy. The manager, Dill, was extremely friendly and helpful. He was very accommodating. It was a nice place to stay plus reasonably priced, we were very satisfied.

One of my favorite places to stay in OBX. You get far more than what you pay for. The staff are very nice. It’s quiet and comfortable, my rooms have always been pristine (the cleaning lady who speaks only Spanish deserves a reward for her unsung hard work). I recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms were big, the beds and furniture are unique pieces check in was done over the phone so it’s quick but you lose that personal touch, but overall for the money the place is good, it’s not a glorious stay and parking can be difficult but for what they’ve got they make it work

Road trip

We loved our room with the canopy bed, and antique looking furniture. It was a great location as most of the places we visited were very close to Manteo. We had a fridge, microwave and nice grassy yard space.

Nice place

It was tough checking in since no one was at the hotel, we talked to a computer. Had some problems with the TV but all and all the place is nice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Location was very good. Roanoke Island is historical. A lack of check-in and room issues on-site manager made that a little difficult. The “cleaning lady” was very helpful though, and took care of a minor issue.

Very Bad Experience

We didn't even stay here. The man at the front desk was very rude and unaccommodating. Room was very dirty, bed bugs and awful smell! We left and didn’t even stay and he refused to refund us.

I was very pleasantly surprised at this property. Very clean and tastefully decorated. The patio furniture outside of the room was of very good quality and very comfortable. We spent much of the evening hanging out outside the room in these chairs. Someone has put some thought into the little details and it shows. I also loved the location. I would not hesitate to recommend this place and hope to return in the future .
