The lanai restaurant was open for breakfast and was a tropical atmosphere with birds chirping and flying about. Loved the water cooler style machine in lobby for accessing to fill my water bottle."

"We had a really enjoyable stay at Villa Maldives. The villa is comfortable, clean and well suited for a family holiday, with spacious rooms and good facilities throughout. The pool area and rooftop terrace were highlights for us, especially for relaxing at the end of the day. The location is excellent, very close to the beaches of Galé and São Lourenço, as well as restaurants and shops. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient base for exploring the Algarve."

"We spent most of our evenings using the barbecue area. It’s the perfect setup for outdoor dining while enjoying the Algarve weather. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made prep work very easy. The house has a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere."

"The villa itself was clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities. However, as we were staying slightly out of season, the temperatures dropped at night, and the bedding only had very thin "duvets" which meant it was very cold on the first night, as we couldn't find any extra blankets. When we reported this the next morning, extra blankets were delivered later that day, which were very welcome.Also, we were somewhat disappointed with the check in/check out process, as we would have appreciated a bit more flexibility. Check in was from 4pm, and we advised the Host management we would be arriving at 3-30pm, and would it be possible to have access from then, or store our luggage. But we were told this was not possible and that the key code for entry would only be made available at 4pm. Then, on the day of departure, we again requested, that if we vacated the villa by 10am (as per the booking arrangement) would it be possible to either store our luggage inside or leave it under cover outside for a couple of hours until our airport transfer arrived. Once more we were told this was not possible, but we could use their left luggage facility in Albufeira, which would have meant getting another taxi into town, and redirecting out transfer to a new pick up point.In the end we brought our transfer forward and spent a couple of hours at the airport instead. Theses are just minor quibbles, but if the management company had been a bit more helpful, it would have been appreciated."
