A lovely B'n'B a short walk from central Margate. The Teal Room was generous in size with a lovely en-suite. The pancake breakfast was superb and the service from Fe and Mel was top notch. Would absolutely recommend.

The Doghouse is a great place to stay. Owners have thought of everything to make it so comfortable and welcoming. Amazing breakfast, really comfy bed and all absolutely spotless. Great base for visiting Kent coast. Parking in street, we managed to park close by each day. Surrounding area and properties appeared run down in places but would definitely recommend staying at The Doghouse

Spent an amazing two nights at the Dog house and can highly recommend it. Staff and accommodation are wonderful and the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. Will definitely be revisiting. Thank you

We had the best weekend staying at the Doghouse. We honestly can’t fault Fe & Mel’s hospitality. The beds were super comfy, the room beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was on point- great choice, excellent ingredients and cooked to perfection. It was also brought straight to our room if you didn’t think it could get any better! We brought our dog Peggy, and she loved her personalised treats and cosy bed. We also used the dog sitting service and felt completely at ease leaving her whilst we headed out for the evening- she clearly had a great time and made a new pal! Great location - we have visited Margate a few times before and we loved being a short walk to Walpole Bay for sea swimming and beach walks. Thank you both so much for a lovely weekend!

More Boutique than Doghouse!

A very warm welcome from Mel, who provided excellent service for our two night stay. Beautifully restored Victorian Villa and spotlessly clean.They have renovated to a very high standard and it is very homely indeed. Well appointed and comfortable room with all the amenities for a perfect stay. Even a fan in the room for the warm weather! Breakfast was served in the room and from a comprehensive menu. The full English was a feast for a king! Preordering breakfast on the site was tricky until we knew the name of the room we were staying in, but then straightforward. Would highly recommend this for a short stay. We loved this guesthouse and we were made to feel like special guests. Thank you Mel and Fe!! The Loop bus runs from the top of the road into town, Ramsgate, Broadstairs and Westwood Cross retail park (everything!!) and a Day Rider ticket was about £5.50, if you like exploring.

Fantastic B&B

What an amazing place to stay. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and full of local knowledge with a blackboard full of recommendations. I would book again just for the breakfast which was excellent.

The Doghouse is truly excellent. Stylish, clean and warm. Quality linen and towels and really comfortable beds. Great TV in our room with another in the lounge where there were also lots of board gamesl. The breakfasts are superb. Mel and Fe could not have been more helpful. It’s obvious that a lot of thought, work and pride has gone into this b&b and that’s paid off. Book with confidence.
