"We stayed at Nobu at the end of our 3weeks travelling around Spain. The hotel was perfection! Dinner @ Nobu was delicious, roof top bar & pool had a great vibe, (pool is small but view is gorgeous). The bed & bedding provided the best sleep of the entire trip."

"We stayed at Hotel 1898 very recently and during the World Cup semi-finals. We were glad we chose to stay there. This is an immaculate property. The staff was friendly all the way from check-in to the spa front desk attendant, to the waiters and bartenders and cooks at La Isabela terrace, the hotel's rooftop restaurant/bar and pool space. The rooms were beautiful and very clean and the bathrooms have tubs vs walk-in showers. A nice touch indeed. The food at La Isabella was AMAZING and very delicious and cooked fresh on the rooftop kitchen. Compliments to the chef and his staff. The breakfast was also AMAZING and very delicious, featuring fresh foods, breads, cheeses, and fruits as well as eggs and breakfast meats--worth it to dine at Hotel 1898. You must at least do this during your stay. We were glad we did. The property's location is central to everything you need--thre's a supermarket a few feet away on Las Ramblas and Mercat de la Boqueria in the opposite direction. The metro is also nearby and very easy to get to from Hotel 1898. Personally, my stay was made better because of employees like Yanquiel at La Isabela and Anton at the front desk. Both treated me and my wife with respect, professionally and courteously. Anton handled our concern immediately and my wife was very thankful for his assistance late at night. Our stay was perfect. The service was excellent--thank you Anton and Yanquiel. And the location was central to everything we needed."

"The other reviews are spot on in all aspects regarding the location, facilities and high standard of cleanliness. When we booked this we noted a couple reviews that implied the staff could be unhelpful / unapproachable. We stayed for 5 nights and are a family of four and all of the family commented on how lovely, approachable and helpful the staff are. Great hotel and all round a fantastic stay for us. We went half board as we did not want to have to find a restaurant each night. The variety and quality of food was great."
