"Great stay, in a convenient location for a lot of different city amenities. I was concerned about the dinghy carpet but the day we checked out there was a carpet cleaning company cleaning the carpets. Family friendly, clean pool and lounge area."

"We recently stayed at Hampton Inn and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the room service and housekeeping were consistently good. I would like to offer a few suggestions for improvement. The breakfast hours (6:00–9:00 a.m.) felt a bit short, especially for families on vacation. Extending breakfast to 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. would be appreciated. In addition, the breakfast menu was very similar each day, so more variety would benefit guests staying for longer periods. The check-in process was also slower than expected at busy times, likely due to limited front desk staffing. Finally, one of the two elevators was out of service during our stay, which resulted in long wait times, especially over the busy holiday weekend. Despite these issues, we had a great stay and would gladly return. Thank you to the team for their hospitality and service."

"I am going to have to go with the majority of reviews and also give this place 2 stars. The property is right off the freeway and I am sure it use to be some sort of a motel converted into Tiller House by Marriott. It's cute and clean but it is still a motel with some paint on it. Not sure why Marriott signed off on it. The location is about 20-25 minutes from Laguna beach and just an exit or two from Irvine spectrum. The bed is a queen but it must not be the standard size most of us are use to as it is very small for 2 standard adults. The bathroom is big but the shower lacks any shelving to put your stuff on and the water from the shower leaks to the floor of the bathroom. Worst of all there is no shower pressure to the point that I could not rinse the shampoo out of my hair. During our stay there was only a handful of other occupants and there is a $30 charge to park in an empty parking lot with zero security or purpose. It feels like paying to park at a suburban motel 6. I think this needs to be revisited by management as it was not disclosed to us prior to booking and it definitely leaves a bad impression. The biggest issue is that I was charged a miscellanous fee of over $120 that posted to my account and was eventually refuded one week later. I called multiple times and left 2 messages and spoke to someone over the phone and never got a call back. Not even a courtesy call to explain the charge or to tell me when to expect the refund."
