This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, right in the middle of the very long Matemwe beach. We loved everything about the hotel. Our room - a junior suite with a beach view and balcony - was gorgeous and very large. There was a view of the ocean from every room, including the shower, and the room was very clean and comfortable in every way. The restaurant is also excellent as is the bar (better cocktails than most places in East Africa). Our favorite dish was the ceviche, but everything was great. The pools, lobby, lounging areas were all beautiful as well. Also appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, who arranged activities including a snorkeling and dolphin trip to Mmemba atoll. The hotel also offers excellent massages onsite and a free yoga class twice a week. We just loved everything about this hotel and would happily return here.

Perfect getaway

This is a great place to spend a relaxing few days. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, with a great view of the ocean. The staff is beyond friendly and responsive. And the food is tasty and reasonably priced.

The hotel is very rustic and feels like it fits within the ambience of Zanzibar. located right on the white sands next to the Indian Ocean with restaurants nearby, that are accessible by walking along the beach. The owners and staff were so welcoming and truly lovely people. The hotel is of a size where you get to know the staff and they know you. Highly recommend it.....

Stunning. Beautiful location and attentive staff. Highly recommended. 素晴らしい滞在でした。スタッフがとても親切で、あらゆることに迅速かつ個別に対応してくれました。目の前に白浜のビーチがあり、いるかと泳げることで有名なムネンバ島はすぐそば。潮の流れを見て午前6時にヴィラの目の前から出発するプライベートツアーをアレンジしてくれ、混雑前にいるかと泳ぐ夢が叶いました。こじんまりしたヴィラですが、敷地内は花に溢れ、食事も美味しく、スパも心地良かったです。家族で滞在する欧米人が多く、アットホームで静かな雰囲気を堪能しました。

Die Lage, der Strand und der Meerblick haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit und freundlich. Insgesamt ist das Hotel allerdings renovierungsbedürftig. Angefangen bei den dreckigen Auflagen auf Liegen und Stühlen. Diversen wackeligen und unsicheren Klappstühlen, in die Jahre gekommene Ausstattung der Zimmer. Der Waschtisch in unserem Bad leckte die ersten drei Tage, so dass ständig der Boden nass war. Das WC war ebenfalls locker. Das Frühstück war sehr eintönig. Ei in vier Varianten mit Bohnen, Würstchen, Tomate oder Bakon, Pancakes, French Toast mit Banane Honig, und Joghurt. Jeden Tag nur Toast, das in der zweiten Woche nach Geschirrspüler schmeckte und süße Teilchen...wer's mag sowie ein Obstteller ohne Abwechslung. Keine Marmeladen, Wurst oder Käse. Keine Cornflakes oder Müslis. Der Restaurantküche fehlt es in diversen Teilen an Professionalität, da die Qualität der Gerichte je nach Tageslaune von gut bis noch ok war. Die Wartezeiten am Mittag waren, trotz wenig Betrieb, extrem lange bis zu 45 Min. Das Hotel verdient höchstens 3 Sterne.
