Ever heard of tune as a name? #Kongthong- The whistling village of India, located in Meghalya- villagers here communicate with each other using a unique form of whistled identity instead of names. When a woman is pregnant she thinks of a particular tune, which becomes the name of the newborn. Here, we stayed in this beautiful bamboo hut. Big enough to accommodate four adults and with an option of inhouse bon fire, this accommodation not only let you experience traditional Khasi style but also reconnects you with nature. Also accommodation like these help villagers earn some money and improve their lifestyle while making sure that natural beauty is not lost #TroverRT

Crystal clear, clean natural water is a dream for all city dwellers. I always wanted to show my daughter we have so beautiful places in India something we should remember, cherish & try to restore. Hence took my daughter to small heaven in the North-East side of India - Dawki a small village on the banks of Umngot River, near Tamabil Point on India-Bangladesh border.

The water is so pure that you can clearly see the rocks & fishes from the boat & wonder how the boat is floating, how deep is the water...

However this natural beauty is slowly getting destroyed with human greediness and laziness. People need to be educated and stopped from polluting these waters with daily chores.
