My husband & I stayed at this beautiful property for 3 nights & we wish we had longer to stay! We visited in mid-June & Mérida was VERY hot & humid. The pool was a great retreat from the heat & although there wasn’t A/C in the main areas (ie kitchen, bathrooms, living room etc), there were fans all throughout the house & lots of windows to open. The A/Cs in both the bedrooms worked so well. During our 9 day vacation- this is where we slept the best. Also, water pressure is great.There are a couple of coffee shops nearby & the restaurant next door (El Apapacho) was so good! We walked to Parque de Santa Ana often (about an 8 minute walk). Lots of restaurants & bars & a fantastic marquesita (I’m still dreaming about the street food). About a 20 minute walk is the Plaza Grande. We are from a big city & are very used to walking this far, we did it each day during our visit. But I can see how it may be a little far for some people. Here, you’ll find even more food, shopping, & opportunities to explore the culture. We watched Mexico play in the World Cup & the energy was electric. A great area to visit!Eugenio was very quick to respond & kind enough to let us leave our luggage for a couple extra hours after our checkout time. We had a later flight & wanted to grab some food before heading to the airport, which is a quick 17 minute drive. We loved this place, & love Mérida. We can’t wait to come back & potentially see other properties of Eugenio’s!
