The property is vey well located, Key Biscayne is beautiful. The property needs maintenance, simple things like good towels. One bathroom had 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels. The other one just two bath towels. No floor mats. The fridge had no handle to open it, had to open from the side. Some plates where left inside the dishwasher, the pots had lids that were not from the same set, they did not fit the pots, and they were greasy. Very few kitchen utensils. I am glad my stay was a couple of days, as with what it had it would have been difficult to prepare a decent meal. There was a small dish soap bottle, half empty. No sponge, or anything to clean. The chairs on the dining room had dirty spots all over. I had stayed at this same property a few years back, it was much better before. It feels very run down.

Overall, we had a decent stay, but ...The positives: The air conditioning worked extremely well, which was appreciated in the Miami heat. The unit was spacious, and the deck was a nice place to relax. It was conveniently located near a grocery store and was in a quiet area away from the crowds and traffic of Miami. It's a good option for young families looking for a peaceful stay. We also enjoyed being next to the state park, which has a beautiful lighthouse and a nice beach to explore.That said, the listing photos were somewhat misleading. While the property has been updated, many of the improvements appear to be cosmetic (mostly paint), and the building still feels very much like a 1960s property. There were small maintenance issues, such as missing cabinet handles, that detracted from the experience.The kitchen was missing basic cleaning supplies, including dish soap, so we had to request some just to wash dishes between meals. There were also no beach towels, beach chairs, or other beach gear provided.The pool area looked much more impressive in the listing photos than it did in person. Also, during our visit the nearby beach had a significant amount of seaweed both on the sand and in the water, which made it less enjoyable for swimming. While that's obviously outside the owner's control, it's worth knowing if the beach is your primary reason for visiting.One final tip: if you're renting a car, be aware there is a toll every time you enter the island.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Horrible experience. Pool was broken and green and we were never told the pool was not functioning. They told me to go the manager office to get my key where my full name was put on a paper taped to the door with my room number. So we headed to that room and found it unlocked with the key in the table. Very unsecured. Stains on the futons, dirty bedding and bathrooms, pubic hairs on kitchen shelf. Disgusting. Nothing like the photos.
