Welcome to our countryside home just 20 minutes to downtown madison, yet nestled on the countryside on our 9 acre property. Our 3 Bedroom 2 Bath house with a sleeping porch is perfect for friends and family groups that want to experience a tranquil natural environment, yet also be close enough to Madison to enjoy the city. You'll enjoy high end beds, linens and FREE WiFi (high speed).

1 hour to Milwaukee or Wisconsin Dells and 2 hours to Chicago. Located in Middleton (53562) with quick access to 12/18 (Beltline) and I-94. Built in the 80's this home is sunny and spacious. Large living room and dining room that featues a beautiful gas fireplaces Save money and eat healthy using the large kitchen with top of the line appliances.

Our family has owned the property for 30 years and have built orchards, wetlands, chickens, sauna, nature trails and fresh produce for you to enjoy. Email with any questions.

This is our second time staying here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is stocked with everything you need and Joan is a terrific host. Our stay was during some bitter cold weather and she checked on us a couple of times to make sure we were warm and safe. The property is beautiful, even in the winter!

Great Stay Close to Madison!

We had a peaceful stay at Joan's place. Her home was in a beautiful, quiet rural location yet close to downtown Madison and it's surrounding suburbs. The home was clean and had lots of space (we brought our dogs along too.) Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the yard was perfect for walking our dogs.

3 night stay in Middleton

This property was great. Our kids had a lot of fun playing inside and outside, and kids enjoyed some cucumbers in the owners' beautiful garden. This is certainly on the outskirts of Middleton, but it was an easy drive into Madison for activities.

Beautiful home - close to everything!

I couldn't recommend this lovely home more highly. My whole family stayed here for a mini-reunion before my son moved away, and it was the perfect family base. The host was extremely (but unobtrusively) responsive; the home was incredibly well-supplied (the kitchen especially has about everything you could ask for, including basics like flour, sugar, spices, etc.); although it's in a countryside setting, it's minutes from everything you might want. It's just full of thoughtful details that made our stay delightful. And the beds are very comfortable! I'll be back!

We loved our stay. The house was comfortable and clean. It had all the amenities. The location was spectacular, and the backyard was super peaceful. Joan was a great host and communication was easy. There are three bedrooms for six people and a full-size futon, which is great for our group of 6.

Quiet Stay in the Country

My husband and I were in Madison for a dog show. We like to find properties that have yards for the dogs to run in. Although this yard is not fenced it is excellent for dogs and humans. Plenty of space. The house is a good size with lots of light. The two bathrooms were perfect and the kitchen had the most utensils and dishware I have ever seen in a short term rental. It is in the country but very close to everything you need. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. Stay here!

Clean house surrounded by nature

House was spotlessly clean with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, small appliances and some spices. My favorite part was taking my dog to walk on the trails through a meadow of native plants full of birds, fireflies and butterflies. Peaceful property.

Perfect Staycation

We stayed here while our floors were being refinished. The house was clean and peaceful, which was just what we needed. There is a perfect work from home set up that allows for views of the prairie, and we made ratattouille with the veggies from the garden. It's far out, but I was able to get to work on the northside within 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

Felt like home

My husband, my 21 year old dtr and I were in Wisconsin to visit multiple family members and friends in the Madison area. This house had plenty of room, it had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Joan even gave us fresh produce from her garden! The views of the rolling fields are beautiful and we felt like we were out in the country, yet we were only 10 minutes from a large grocery store and 20 minutes from most family.

Close to Madison

Was a short drive to visit family in Madison. Joan was a GREAT hostess. There were lots of veggies in the garden, fresh fruit from the trees, and the knowledge she shared about gardening was amazing. Our grandkids had lots of room to run and play. House layout was very functional for those that did some remote work, needed a rest, or just relaxing and visiting on back deck.

Peaceful surroundings and cute house

My husband and I and our 3 adult children really enjoyed this property. The house was very clean and plenty of room for the 5 of us. It was so peaceful looking out into the field of green. We enjoyed making a fire in the fire pit in the backyard by the field. It is close to Madison too. There are lots of places to go hiking and enjoy nature around Middleton. The town was upscale and nice restaurants to eat. The owner was available at anytime if you needed to contact her and she even brought us some zucchini from the garden on the property. We recommend this cute farm house!

Fabulous!

What a wonderful place to stay! The house was very roomy and comfortable and it was great to be in the middle of farmland. Joan, the host was really nice and came by to welcome me and ensure I didn’t have any questions. I thought that I would spend a lot of time in Madison but there were so many great places close by to hike that we barely went. Also the town of Middleton that was close had a great food coop, coffee shops and restaurants. The countryside was beautiful with lots of old farmhouses and dairies. I would definitely come again and really recommend staying at this house if you like peaceful country living with all the amenities of city life.

absolutely amazing place

The house was perfect for our family; our daughter and her family and us. The house was spotless, the rooms spacious, quality towels, kitchen well supplied. We needed some flexibility with our dates and Joan was wonderful to work with. The outdoor space was great for walking our daughter's dog. The location was perfect for visiting other family in the Madison area. We will definitely plan to stay here again when we are in the Madison area. I highly recommend it, but know that in doing so, it may not be available when we want to book it again in the future. We have stayed in VRBO's in Hawaii, D.C. and internationally, I would rank this as one of the best!

Peaceful and Relaxing Stay Close to Madison

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Joan was a gracious and attentive host providing fresh veggies, fresh eggs and great recommendations for eating. We were able to bring our large dog which is one of the primary reasons we selected this place. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The drive to Madison is quick and easy too. Though the house is close to the road, it is very quiet and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the tranquility while sitting on the back deck watching the night sky. There are trails close by for running or biking too. Though we had a packed agenda, we found ourselves wishing we had extra time to just relax and enjoy the peace of the location. Will definitely stay here again.
