My stay here was wonderful. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. Check in was easy and the host was easy to get ahold of. She made breakfast to order which was wonderful. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Maria is really friendly and gave us recommendations for the local area. Breakfast was very tasty too. Would definitely recommend
The property was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. The made to order breakfast was delicious and Maria and Brian were delightful. We would definitely stay there again!
It was amazing -- from the moment we arrived. This is a beautiful and well-run b&b. Our room was spacious and comfortable; the hosts were charming, the breakfast was delicious. We gave it an F for Fabulous.
Our bedroom was super clean, as were the other shared areas of the house. Breakfast was excellent, very tasty, and made to order. The property outdoors was beautiful with great views of nature, and my wife and I were allowed to walk down into the woods across the street to enjoy some quiet time sitting by a placid river. To top it all off, our hosts were always cordial and accommodating. We would definitely recommend staying here!
A magical spot for a weekend getaway! Maria was an amazing and generous host, taking the time to tell us about the place and history; breakfast was delicious; and waking up to the colorful, snowy sunrise was unbelievably beautiful.
We loved our stay with Maria and Brian. The bed was really comfortable and the sheets were amazingingly soft. It felt really homely and their property is really well maintained. They really go out of their way to make you (the guest) feel at home.
We were greeted at the front door when we arrived at the Inn, and shown around the property. Our room was beautiful and had gorgeous quilts on the bed. The hosts were so kind and we had a delicious breakfast before we checked out. The Inn was very cozy, and we felt like we were home for the holidays with family.
The Inn at Oxbow is a very nice bed and breakfast and Maria and Brian are wonderful hosts. Their home is beautiful and well maintained. Maria recommended a great place for dinner and the made to order breakfast she provided in the morning was delicious.
Our stay with Maria and Brian was great - the place is very nice and cosy, quiet in the middle of nature, surrounded by horses, flowers and peace. The hosts have been terrific, the breakfast was very delicious and you should at least stay a couple of days to try several of the choices. I would highly recommend the Inn.
Stayed at the Inn for 3 nights. The rooms were beautiful, beds comfortable and the hosts are awesome! Loved that we could pick our breakfast every morning. All were delicious! Highly recommend The Inn at Oxbow Acres!
Our arrival time to the Inn was later than expected, but we made sure to communicate that beforehand. We got very quick replies back, which we appreciated. We were warmly greeted by the host when we got to the Inn. She showed us the breakfast menu and we told her what we wanted to eat for the next morning. The breakfast was very customizable.
Our room was very nice and clean- looked exactly like the listing on the website. We were only there for one night but felt really at home.
The next morning during breakfast, we learned the host had 4 cats and was able to see 3 of them outside through the window. They were really cute! The host cooked our food using fresh ingredients from her garden.
Overall we had a great stay.
This was a lovely property quite a ways away from it all. It was peaceful and the hosts were outstanding! So friendly, and the breakfast was delicious! If you want peace and quiet and country living, you won't be disappointed!
Serene and peaceful with beautiful views on nature and the mountains. Couldn’t ask for two more caring and hospitable people that run the bnb-owners. Breakfast was excellent, all homemade. You can definitely tell they are trying to do farm to table. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for rnr, hiking or any activity close to nature.
Maria and her husband own the beautiful newly remodeled farmhouse with several bedrooms with bathrooms. Our room was small but the jet tub and bathroom were perfect. The sitting area and the eating area were cozy and inviting. Maria prepared a breakfast of our choice with many options. We ordered the night before and she served a delicious hot breakfast. Thank you to them for a wonderful visit.
This inn was amazing! The views are wonderful … the host made us feel right at home - so relaxing - everything is brand new- and breakfast was delicious- and every aspect of our stay had a personal touch - they do not offer dinner but there are places within a few miles to get dinner - highly recommend!
Innkeepers were wonderful. The Inn is decorated in true Maine fashion. Just lovely. Breakfast was outstanding! The view outside our window was of the Innkeepers horses (and donkey). The coffee was so good, I bought some to take home. We didn't want to leave.
I would stay here for an extended vacation without hesitation. It’s beautiful. This inn is a delight. The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The common area and patio outside are beautiful. Bedrooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. If you happen to be in the area this is a no brainer. Just make sure you pay attention to which room you book because some have shared bathrooms if that’s an issue for you.
I fell in love with the property already when i booked it in expedia, when i arrived it is even more wonderful than I expected. Bonus: gorgeous sunset at nearby Milan hill state park, from the fire tower you can see mountains in new hampshire, maine, Massachusetts and Canada (Jasper is just one of them). Bonus number 2, stargazing.. so much you need to find out
We had a lovely overnight stay at Oxbow. The farm & Inn is very charming & welcoming. Maria was also very welcoming and her breakfast was amazing! We stayed in the Goose Eye room & because I booked it on Expedia I didn't realize it was a shared bathroom. Not a big deal, it just would have been a tiny bit more convenient to have a mirror in the bedroom as well. My only other comment is the queen bed mattress is very soft & sags to the middle. The twin bed was very comfortable.
Overall, we wish we could have stayed an extra day to enjoy the property & area more.
Maria and Brian Chamberlain were very friendly and welcoming. As it is a working farm, Brian was busy when we first arrived, late in the afternoon. Maria came out to greet us, as their were two houses just off the driveway and my wife and I didn't know which one to enter so to register. She quickly showed us to our room and introduced us to four other guests staying for an artist show. The Chamberlains had horses, donkeys, chickens, cats and a very friendly dog.
Unfortunately, we were only booked for one night stay. Maria graciously showed my wife her rhubarb garden and even gave her some cuttings to take with her (fortunately, they survived the plane ride back home to California)! Brian gave me a nice tour of his farm and the personalities of the animals, an indication of his chores and some information about the surrounding neighborhood and area characteristics. I almost forgot to indicate that upon our arrival, Maria gave us a $15.00 gift certificate for what I believe she described as, "some of the best Mexican food in Northern New Hampshire".
The very nice guests added to the experience!
