This property is perfect for any season. Summer weeks at the lake with pristine sandy shoreline and shallow ZERO entry swimming, amazing for kids, parents, and grandparents alike! Fish on one of the best fishing lakes in Minnesota, enjoy the deck and watch the sunsets, or just simply sit back on a chair and relax! Winter has its own share of things to do. Located on the DATA snowmobile trail, bring your sleds and see some of Minnesota's best back country. Like to ice fish? Bring your fish house and enjoy! Local downhill skiing at Ande's Tower Hills is just 20 minutes away, or head into town and do some shopping at one of our amazing local downtown shops. Alexandria area has so much to offer, here is a list of things we think you may enjoy during your stay:

The lake offers swimming, boating, skiing and fishing.

· Go for a walk or run near the cabin and check out the scenery.

· We have two kayaks, a paddleboard and a lily pad you may use.

· Miltona Golf Club is just minutes from the cabin. They have a driving range and 18 holes.

· Carlos Creek Winery and Northmen Brewery is within 10 minutes. They have great wood-fire pizza as well as decent wine and beer with weekend live music.

· Casey’s Amusement Park in Alexandria (15 minutes from the cabin) is open May-September. They have outdoor mini-golf, go-carts, bumper boats, batting cage and arcade.

· The Sugar Shack is located at 606 Broadway Street, Alexandria and is open year-round. They have candy, cookies, hand dipped ice cream and fresh fudge. Yummy!

· Shopping on Broadway in Alexandria is available year-round with a variety of shops and restaurants.

· Andria Theatre has different productions throughout the year and is located downtown Alexandria. Check here for more info: https://andriatheatre.org/

· Alexandria has Farmer’s Market at Big Ole Central Park on Saturday and Tuesdays 9-12 noon and Thursdays 3-6pm. While there why not take your picture with Ole the Viking!

· Go for a walk or bike ride on the Central Lakes Trail. Lake Brophy playground is on the bike path west 4 miles. Continue another 3 miles to the town of Garfield and eat lunch or dinner.

· Viking Speedway has car races every Saturday night from the end of April through Labor Day.

· Hike Inspiration Peak (about 25 minutes away from the cabin). It is only about a 20-minute climb, but it is steep going up. Great views!

· Country Blossom Farm is about 30 minutes away and has a store, bakery and outdoor activities including: pick your own produce, corn maze, pedal car races, huge jumping pillow, tractor rides and nerf gun wars.

· Silver Sage Guest Ranch is about 30 minutes away and offers: Horse-drawn dinner rides down to the lake, petting zoo, pony rides, riding lessons, hayrides and sleigh rides. More information at https://www.silversagemn.com/ or call 218-864-8007.

· If it’s cold or rainy you can still swim at Big Splash Indoor Waterpark in Arrowood Resort which is just 10 minutes away. It costs $22 per person on the weekends.

· You can also swim at Grand Stay Hotel which is 10 minutes away and only costs $5 each. It is just a pool though so you may want to bring a ball or objects to dive for. Call beforehand as they don’t always offer swimming to non-hotel guests. Holiday Inn in Alexandria also allows swimming for $5, but again you want to call ahead.

· Garden Center Lanes offers bowling and a huge video arcade, snack bar with made to order pizzas. Located in Alexandria.

· Escape Room Alexandria is a real-life escape adventure game. Explore themed rooms, find clues & solve puzzles to escape or win! They have games for ages 10 and up.
