"I reserved this location because it’s close to the main city center. The area was quite busy, since the port is just across the street, but it’s very convenient if you’re planning to take ferries to the nearby small towns. The place itself was very clean, comfortable, and convenient, a great stay overall."

"Excellent location. Close to the metro with sea views. The fridge in your room an microwave in the common area was great. Only draw back was the building is from 1760 so no elevator. But the atairs helped work off all the calories you eat in naples. "

"Luigi our host was fabulous. He was so helpful. Helped us try and arrange private transport and then arranged a taxi for us late at night to leave in the morning that arrived on time and he negotiated a set price for us also. Couldn’t be more thankful. Apartment was beautiful, newly renovated, balcony to sit on and enjoy the sites of Napoli. Walking distance to main attractions and city and port where we arrived from Sorrento. Highly recommend!"

"The facilities are very modern and well-maintained. The decoration is nice. The refrigerator contains bottled water for free. A coffee machine, coffee sugar, cups, and even a can opener for your beer are provided. The room has fine finishes, air conditioning with heating, and a huge water heater. "Napoli great view is very close and convenient to the ferry port for ongoing transport to the Amalfi coast. A short 10 min walk has you in the heart of the royal palace, Spanish quarter or the old town. Location is excellent. Barbara was a wonderful host, a wealth of information and helped book us an airport taxi at a set price. The room was lovely, modern and clean with new bathroom that includes a bidet. We enjoyed our stay in Naples and was very happy with our accommodations. Thanks! "

"It's a walking distance to castel nuovo, palazo reale and galleria Umberto I, caffe Gambrinus and multiple dining options in that area. It's 50 yards from metro Universita, on line 1 which can connect you everywhere i.e. Dante station to Spaccanapoli, Duomo, museo to get to museums etc. Area is very safe."

"The location of Hotel Matilde is about as good as you can get as a tourist in Naples. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was about as good as you can get without having someone cook to order. There was one guest complaining excessively about the star rating, but it sounded like a whole lot of nit pickiness to me. There are some high end hotels around, but if you want super fancy, stay on the Amalfi coast and have fun...

"Staff were lovely here and breakfast was delicious. The rooftop was an amazing feature, especially since you get a clear view of Mount Vesuvius. Location was ideal aslo, near the main port with links directly to Sorrento, Ischia etc. Would stay here again if I visit Naples again."

For a relatively new hotel - why would the owners think that their guests would want to wake up to the sight of the arse of a monster cruise ship being right in their faces! The pollution these Behemoths chugged out would have blotted out the Sun but fortunately for us the wind was offshore, otherwise, I doubt I would have faired better than the locals of Pompei!"

"The hotel is in excellent location, in heart of the city center, walk to everywhere, bus and subway. The breakfast is great, Adriana, the lady works preparing food, is fantastic, she got things ready in early morning. We usually got to the breakfast room very early and she already placed things out nicely. A big help to our schedule, two thumbs up, thank you Adriana !!"

"What a great option for a short stay in Naples. Clean and fresh and small balcony. Right across from the port of you are planning on trips to Capri and Amalfi. Great check in with Antonio who made it easy and all virtual. We had dinner around the corner at La Lazzara… perfect Naples pizza and nice breakfast spots out front. Also, really close to the Naples castle. Good value."
