We found this home to be charming and cozy. The cows were fun to watch and we enjoyed seeing several deer and a blue heron as well! We would highly recommend this wonderful home.
We stayed in this lovely house for a whole month and really enjoyed every minute of it. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, the house was clean and cozy, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with utensils. A nightly firefly shows on our front porch was the cherry on top. Highly recommend this peaceful secluded place for short or long term stay.
We stayed here for a few days while we checked our kids in at Liberty. It was perfect for our family since we all love being in the countryside. The friendly cows were a huge bonus. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and all the nice touches of home were appreciated. It is an easy commute to L'burg, and we never once ran into traffic. Thanks for the wonderful respite from our normally busy lives.
We had a wonderful time at this accommodating and cozy farmhouse. It was very kid-friendly, with games and puzzles to occupy them, meanwhile the kitchen was outfitted perfectly which allowed us to do a lot of our meals at the home for the duration of our vacation. The location is fairly remote - 10-15 minutes drive into the nearest towns, but honestly that is exactly what we were looking for to get away from the hustle and bustle of our normal lives.
Carol was extremely attentive and responsive, and we arrived to find some very sweet birthday decorations for my wife, since I had mentioned when booking that we try to do a trip to the area every year for her birthday.
We would love to stay again in the future!
This home was very nice. Old renovated home with modern accessories. Spacious. VERY clean. The kitchen is well stocked. The firepit is nice. The beds are comfy. The only concern we had was that the bath and a half are both on the first floor and the bedrooms are on the second floor. We're older ladies...so traversing the stairs at night to get to the bathroom required extra care especially with relatively steep steps in a home you're not that familiar with.
We used this for a girls weekend while attending a conference in Lynchburg at Liberty University. It was an easy 30 minute drive into town (must watch for deer on the back roads though). Would definitely stay again.
The Country Farmhouse was a place of rustic charm and tranquility. All you hear is the sound of the breeze, the cows, birds, and the brook. Our visit to the area exposed us to both history and agriculture. The farmhouse certainly further illustrated that. All the work done to refresh this home years back has kept it's original luster. You will not be disappointed to stay here- only delighted.
