"Gorgeous position inside the fort. Wonderful breakfast. The pool was the best thing: great temperature, large and deep! Good sun lounger availability. Good bar. Good system of deposit for pool towels etc to ensure only hotel guests used it. The views were glorious. The buildings were incredible. Enjoyable art on the walls. Loved the mix of modern and ancient. Great parking. Wish we’d stayed longer."

"Lovely clean spacious room with all the facilities we required. We did use the pool while at the hotel and thought it was excellent with plenty of sun loungers. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was tasty and plenty of choice. We didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on main meals. Overall excellent value hotel and I would have no hesitation in booking again if I’m ever in Chaves."

"Loved this hotel. Its location is amazing - up in the hills and so tranquil but still only a 10 minute drive from Chaves. The hotel has so many fruit trees and herbs - I was able to pick fresh mint to make mint tea whilst I was there. Will definitely return!"

"La casa está magnifica, muy nueva y acogedora. No le falta un detalle, rstas como en casa. Y ademas Angel el anfitrión nos dejo un poco de todo lo necesario, huevos, leche, pan, yogurres, mermeladas, patatas, aceite, azucar, cafe, cerveza y un largo sin fin de cosas...simplemente FANTASTICO.Angel vive cerquita y en todo momento estuvo pendiente de nuestras necesidades.Todo de 10...totalmente recomendable...volveremos.
