Lovely helpful staff, comfortable, clean room (superior room) and the continental / cooked breakfast was good. I stayed overnight on a Friday arriving at 7pm and the available parking in the hotel carpark and local area was extremely limited so I would recommend arriving early. Do not rely on being able to connect to the hotel free WiFi. I could not connect at all and was told by a staff member that it was most likely due to the bar / restaurant areas being busy. I am on O2 and could not get any phone or 4/5G signal. However, if being able to connect to WiFi isn’t important I would recommend the hotel.

Clean room, lots of free parking, great location in heart of town and beneath Montgomery Castle. The staff were lovely, food was excellent with priority on using local ingredients and beer and wine. Superb value for money as well. Would not hesitate to return to The Dragon Hotel in future!

Second time staying there, lovely old place. Bar well stocked, dinner and breakfast excellent. Given single room at top of hotel - stonking hot but supplied with fan which helped. Bathtub comfortable but needs a grab rail on the wall for those of us less abled to help us climb out. Otherwise can’t fault it!

Room was a lovely size for a solo traveler. Staff were so helpful and accommodating. I had to be up and out before breakfast so they made me a packed lunch! Dinner was nice and a decent price. Bar was busy and decent offering on! Nice place to sit solo or with a pal. The square that it’s on is very pretty.
