I have taken some time to process this. I will say from the outset that the host and I disagree fundamentally. This is objective, I hopeI had to switch my dates and they were accommodating. I appreciate that so much. Location is amazing. View is gorgeous. But…The kitchen is not “fully equipped” as advertised but they got me stuff when I called them. It was above and beyond. To explain:I’m a cook so I bring what I know I will need. But there was zero big pot there to cook pasta (the listing says a lobster boil pot) and nothing you could ever put in the oven. Which is why I asked for a cookie sheet too. I was told that wasn’t part of the deal. Kk. They did bring one too within an hour.Appliances were not fully functional. Dryer had to have a broom propped against the door to make it work. Dishwasher had a whole spare part in the upper rack. That was a “simple fix” said the host when the handyman came and I was also told it was “functional” so no need to complain. I was also told that the dryer worked but they went above and beyond to make it “more comfortable” for me to use. Shower never worked and I washed my hair in the sink for two days. At the last minute the host offered me to move to another apt in the building. I was making dinner at the time. And leaving the next morning. Also offered me just a shower but really? We will agree to disagree. Also of note: the pillows are ultra firm memory foam. If that’s not your jam, bring your own or ask the host.
