"Gritty but lively location immediately adjacent train station. Getting to the hotel down one-lane, one-way road took planning. 15 to 20 minute ‘busy’ walk to Marienplatz. Parking extremely tight but on premises for a fee and even though the hotel was sold out we always found a spot. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Outdoor courtyard was pleasant. They try to have some fun with Bavarian themed décor throughout. Breakfast for a fee was good but doesn’t set any benchmarks. Junior suite was spacious and second washroom appreciated. Bed comfortable. Not a fan of the room lighting as its all or nothing - no way to select individual lights. No switch for main bathroom lighting- its on a motion sensor only and stays on and shines through glass windows into the room and stays on for 7 minutes or so - not ideal at 3am when everyone else in room is (was) asleep! There was some noise from adjacent rooms but no street noise. Plenty of good eating options nearby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay fine."

"Beautiful hotel. Excellent location just across the street from the main train station. Plenty of places to eat. 20 minute walk to Marienplatz. There’s a hop on hop off bus you can take that’s 10 minute walk from the hotel. The pool is clean but cold. My only complaint was the pillows. They’re flat. I needed 3 just to get me comfortable. The bed is comfortable though. Overall our 5 day stay was enjoyable."

"The WunderLocke exceeded expectations. Right from check-in, the front desk staff host, Barbara, was friendly, courteous and very helpful as she kindly answered all of our questions. The room for our family of four was perfect with the loft. And the fact that it had a laundry machine, and other appliances made this the perfect place to stay mid-way through our trip. Highly recommended!"

"They were soooo accommodating and and attentive. The booking staff went above and beyond making my birthday extra special. I got a birthday cupcake and, personalised card and decorations upon entering my room. We were also given drinks vouchers on arrival. There was only one rude porter when we were checking out. But overall it was a great experience. I'll stay here again if I'm ever in Munich again."
