Relaxing and enjoyable stay at The Cosh

A group of friends met at the Cosh for a relaxing weekend get together. Every guest was very impressed with the accommodation, everything we needed was provided. We loved our stay and the layout meant that we could retreat and spend time alone or with our friends. We loved the open plan layout and the space it provided. The location was just what we needed for peace and quiet and the opportunity to catch up.

Fabulous property for a multi-generational family get together

We could not have found a better place for a family get together. The Cosh provides everyone with their own bedroom and bathrooms, and has fantastic entertaining spaces - and we were there in the depths of January - it offers even more for the better weather months with outdoor spaces too.

We had a family gathering to celebrate birthdays and to get togther all in one place.

We had a fabulous time. The weather was beautiful so it was good to be able to take advantage of the plentiful outdoor seating areas. Pool and table tennis helped keep the younger members of the party (12 and 14) occupied when not out exploring the area, asdid the stream. (we became intrepid explorers). As it was so hot the local Co-op ran out of ice so we would have appreciated some ice cube trays. We hope to return some time.

Wonderful venue for a weekend away

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Cosh. As a group of university friends - now all in our 60s - it had everything you could possibly need - lots of space and different places to sit and catch up with friends. Dog friendly, and great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend - we voted it the best place we have stayed in so far on our annual meet-up.

Perfect for a family weekend

We really appreciated everything The Cosh had to offer for a whole family stay. There was plenty of room for all ages (upstairs was the youngsters' base) and the table tennis and pool were invaluable. Kitchen facilities were excellent, breakfast bar the centre of grazing for the permanently hungry. Bedrooms good, bathrooms really nice. The support from Deb and Susan was excellent - they went out of their way to help. We had a dog with us and wondered if some sort of temporary/flexible fencing could be available to block off the lawn so that we could create a confined space and be able to leave the side door open?

A Lovely House in a Beautiful Area

We hired The Cosh for my daughters 50th birthday family party. There were 12 of us and we all agreed the house was great for this occasion. Very spacious accommodation upstairs and downstairs. As the weather was hot we spent a lot of time outside where there was plenty of tables, chairs and couches. (an umbrella would have been welcome as it was so hot) It was lovely first thing in the morning sitting outside listening to the stream bubbling away at the bottom of the garden and listening to the birds. Can thoroughly recommend this house for large family get togethers. Very well equipped and good quality linen and towels Small children may find the open staircase a bit challenging There was a large fridge but a smaller fridge for drinks (maybe in the utility area) would have been good Also slip mats in the showers would be handy as we found the shower floors a bit slippery

Review of The Cosh

Had a lovely long weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday with the family and we’re lucky to have glorious weather. The owner was very friendly and on hand if needed. The barn is quite stunning. A huge space with plenty of room for the children to tire themselves out! The open plan stairs proved a great attraction to a crawling baby so we had to be on our guard as there isn’t a stair gate available. ( we knew this on booking) The beds were very comfortable. It was an interesting place to stay, and have the opportunity to live in an Eco house. The heat pump provided a constant temperature, noticed by a friend staying with us who suffers with arthritis.

The Cosh Nov 2024

We had a great time in the Cosh. The area was peaceful and lovely location with the horses out in the paddock. The barn itself was beautiful and spacious, the only downside was it is quite open and so a bit echoing but nothing that would put us off staying again. The local pub in the village was fantastic with very friendly and helpful staff. A very enjoyable long weekend

As near perfect as one could wish for.

A very comfortable place to stay, with 6 good-sized bedrooms and lots of well-splaced sitting areas. The Welcome Cake was delicious and we were very grateful for the eggs and milk - all above and beyond our expectations. The 4 hens were an added delight! Can thoroughly recommend it. An issue with a Roman blind was addressed very quickly but needs a little more attention.

Family get together

Great long weekend at the Cosh. Well thought out and executed accommodation with huge amount of space for our six grandchildren to play and make as much noise as they wanted. Children apart this is a lovely quiet location with a small babbling brook to the rear. A relatively short walk into Blockley and close to Moreton in Marsh and other quaint Cotswold villages. The children particularly enjoyed seeing the horses and feeding the sheep. A memorable weekend in a high quality property that was in an ideal location for our group, would happily book again.

Fabulous property for a large group

Lovely property in a stunning location. The owners were on hand to answer any questions we had and made our weekend letting us come and help feed Barry the sheep and his friends!! The property is stunning, loads of space for a large group, thoughtfully decorated bedrooms and a spacious kitchen area. Wonderfully peaceful and only a short walk into town’s. Kitchen was missing a couple of utensils (tin opener and a whisk) and would benefit from some details about walks from the property and local attractions but the owners were around tending to their horses and were happy to provide any information needed. We will be back.
