"We ended up booking this place to stay for the weekend but we didn't even check-in in the apartment. The street getting to this place is very rural and tight with no lights and we quickly realized that it would have been impossible for us to drive in and out of it easily at night. The street also doesn't seem to have any lights which makes it dangerous to drive in. "Really the perfect location set up a homebase when you’re visiting this part of North Carolina. Both Hayesville and Hiawassee downtowns are just a short drive. The screened in porch faces east, in the morning it is perfect to sip your cup of coffee or tea. Unwind and watch the birds, squirrels, bunnies, groundhogs, and the deer that travel through the property in the mornings and evenings. The Mountain View is perfect. Watching the “smoke” rise off the lake and the mountains in the distance is why one goes to the smoky mountains. We have stayed here many times and we keep coming back for all these reasons. Thank you for keeping the cabin so inviting."
