Country Cabin in the Poconos, Couples getaway, Cresco, Barrett Township
Newly remodeled, the cottage exudes warmth, comfort and easy living reminiscent of slower paced time, but includes the modern necessities like internet access and a Roku television. The romance inspired bedroom, colored in whites, soft pinks and greens, present a peaceful, serene and soothing refuge from the maddening world. Calming and a place to restore your energies, allow your cares and troubles to fade away in restful sleep. The green, checkered sofa pulls to a twin-size bed; perfect for a third guest. Have some fun in the teacup inspired kitchen! The fully equipped kitchen is waiting for you to compose wonderful meals. The deep white sink makes washing dishes exciting! Rose inspired shelves and romantic plate racks hang upon the walls, a reminder of an era gone by. Turning our focus outward, we hope you noticed the Weeping Willow tree alongside the house on your way in. It is in the background of a seating area for 4, a picnic table and a wood fire pit – a perfect location for relaxing, staying warm and enjoying the outdoors. In the rear of our cozy, country cottage is a babbling brook, plentiful wildlife, ferns and trees. We hope you enjoy your stay and come again soon. We live across the street should you require help with anything. Jaime and Jamie

Weekend getaway
The property itself is very clean and cozy. But the location is not the greatest and the house is in the backyard of the property owners so there is little to no privacy felt alittle uncomfortable
A great getaway for 2 in a quiet area. The house is beautifully updated with comfortable furniture. Very easy to work in the kitchen and it has all the basics for making your own meals. Jaime was responsive to my questions, although we didn’t have much. Spent an afternoon in the front yard sitting area for some R&R after biking.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this cute little cottage-like setting! It was very close to the event that we were in town for, communication was great, and the cottage was a super cozy spot to come back to after the festivities for both days. The owners have put some thought into making this a place of rest and relaxation, and they have done a great job. It's an old space with great vibes and character. The linens and towels were also plentiful and clean. Would definitely recommend!
The place was extremely clean, well set up, and decorated perfectly. The hosts are amazing. The entire property is perfect for a get away. You have so much comfort you don’t want to leave. 10 stars.
Wow! This place was so cute and cozy. It was perfect for a little getaway with my fiancé. It was very clean and looked just like the pictures. The property manager was friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall wonderful stay!
Everything was very nice place is beautiful back yard too many branches on the ground and steps. Overall everything excellent the only problem that mattress it’s to old you can’t really sleep on it
We enjoyed our stay. It was a nice getaway for the busy everyday life. We enjoyed the local amenities and it was a perfect location. Would definitely stay again.
The pictures are a good representation of the property, although the living room has been updated. It is a beautiful cottage and just right for my husband and I. I can't wait to stay here again sometime.
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Cresco cottage! My daughter and I came up to the Poconos for a relaxing couple days in nature. The home was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you could need was in the kitchen for cooking any meal. While we encountered no major issues, the host was very accessible and helpful as needed for minor questions.
Thank you, Jaimie for helping us have a great weekend getaway!
The cabin is very beautifully decorated and immaculate. The location is excellent for exploring the area. I enjoyed the fire pit.
Everything we used worked well and we enjoyed our stay.
Well maintained and clean. Overall, great experience. I suggest a more comfortable pullout and maybe moving the kitchen table down a bit so you could add a microwave stand. Having it on top of the refrigerator could lead to accidents plus a lot of people are too short to access it easily.
This beautiful, private home features everything convenient for a couple's or friend's getaway. In such a clean home and conveniently located area of Pennsylvania, this home includes an aura of comfortability and invitingness difficult to find in a lot of areas. An enjoyably silent stay makes this a peaceful and pleasant retreat, accommodating those wanting tranquility.
My husband and I were very happy with staying at this cottage. Very clean, everything you could need was there for you. This was perfect for us as we spent most of our time at Promiseland State Park in Greentown about 20 min away. Really this location was kind of center to so many other Places you could check out in the Pocono area. Blakeslee or Wallenpaupack Lake not very far of a trip. We found plenty to do in the area. We highly recommend renting this cottage. The owners definitely went the extra mile to make it feel like home. Thank you we enjoyed our little getaway and didn't want to come home. 😇
This vacation had the potential to be an absolute nightmare but our hosts were quick to jump into action to make our stay as comfortable & accommodating as possible. This trip was initially planned to celebrate our Anniversary in April but due to the pandemic lock down, we were forced to cancel & reschedule in June. Jamie was very responsive to our questions & she gave us the early spring rate for our summer stay. We drove 7.5 hours from our home in NW Ohio the day we checked in. The trip started off on a rocky foot. We stopped to grab a bite to eat before we crossed state lines & wound up getting sick on our breakfast. I packed some anti nausea medication which allowed us to carry on & ride out the remainder of the 4.5 hour drive. 15 mins before reaching the vacation rental, our truck blew a transmission cooling line. We lost all power & found ourselves sitting on the side of the road. Luckily I was able to coast up to a state trooper that was in the middle of a traffic stop. He sprung into action quickly, called for back up to help keep us safe & a tow truck to get us off of the highway. Meanwhile, I sent Jamie a text message to let her know we were in distress but back enroute as soon as the tow arrived. In a half hearted rant, I mentioned that it had not been a good day given we had gotten food poisoning earlier on & now this. Knowing that we wouldn't have any means of getting to the grocery store to buy essentials with a dead vehicle, Jamie took it upon herself to make a run down to the cottage to deliver some food items to make sure we didn't go hungry. She even included a 2 liter of Coke to settle our angry tummies. Seriously! How awesome is that?! (I was so humbled, I cried.) It was a little past dinner hour once we got to the cottage. To avoid having to dip into the groceries that were left for us, I called a local restaurant (The Bloomin Onion) that I found a menu for in the cottage to see if they delivered. The answer they gave me when I asked if delivery was an option was simply "If you don't have a way to get your food, we'll be sure to find a way to get your food to you." Wow! Is this real life?!? Cresco is full of angels! While I was securing dinner, my husband got on the phone & made arrangements with Jamie to get our truck repaired. As luck would have it, they own a repair shop just up the road. They towed it in for us the next AM and by 4 PM we were back on the road to an amazing vacation! Thank you both for everything!
