Lots of space inside and outside the home. The back area with the hot tub, pool, covered deck and dock was a great place to hang out and visit with family. The home is located near many restaurants and shopping.

Reviewer Comments:
Very nice quiet home in Murrell's Inlet. Used the bicycles to ride to the Marsh Walk. Fished when the water was high although, neighbors said there was an alligator one night. 5 Bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and nice hot water in the bathrooms. Absolutely beautiful. Does have covered pool and hot tub, along with outside screened deck and floating deck. Tons of seating. Most certainly would rent again

Overall, exactly what we had hoped for to relax for a few days. The house needs a touch of fine tuning but nothing serious. A very spacious place that's quiet, close enough to local restaurants and other points of interest. We will consider staying here again if available through the courteous people at Garden City Realty 😀

This is a great rental. Our kids enjoyed fishing off the dock. We did have an issue with the pool being too hot, the pool felt like a hot tub most of our time there. Hopefully this can be fixed for future renters that are staying during the summer. Other than that, this rental was perfect for us.

Reviewer Comments:
Dock Holliday is a beautiful beach house. We loved the house and the location. However we’re very disappointed with the pool and hot tub. The pool filter didn’t run much at all and there was stuff floating on the surface of the water and it was slick on the. ottom by the end of the week. There were leaves on the bottom . The temperature of the pool stayed between 98 and 100 degrees the entire time. That’s way too hot. The controls were “locked” on the control panel. I called several times and asked for the pool maintenance to come and check it but they didn’t show up until Friday for regular maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend to stay here if you want a nice pool.

Reviewer Comments:
This property would be nice for a family wanting separate spaces. There are three bedrooms and 2.5 baths upstairs with a large living area, kitchenette and dining table that seats four plus a nice front porch. Downstairs has two bedrooms (each bedroom has its own bathroom) and a huge kitchen with every amenity imaginable plus a rather formal dining table that seats ten. It opens to an enclosed pool which extends to a covered dock. Unfortunately, the window of opportunity to enjoy a boat is narrow since at low tide there is absolutely no water in the canal that runs by the dock. This results in about 4-6 hours (daily) of being able to actually use a boat (and that depends on when high tide occurs). My husband and I chose this house because of the boat dock, and we used it daily during our stay, but we really had to time it with the tide because most if the time the canal was completely dry. Overall, it comes down to what you are looking for ... if you want a comfortable and convenient place to stay close to places to go, this might be the house for you. But, if you want a place to use as a base for boating, look elsewhere!
Pool water was great with exception of some tiles falling off in pool and some of jets not working in hot tub. Also just to make you all aware, there is a soft spot on the right as you step up into kitchen. Also the bathroom attached to master bedroom, it took about an hour each time someone took shower

Disappointed
The overall property was beautiful. The hot tub was not operational. The pool was ice cold. The hot tub never worked properly even after the pool guy showed up the following day. You couldn't adjust the jets or the temperature and it leaked down everyday and was totally empty the morning we left. The water in the pool was ice cold until the morning we left . Being that was one of the main reasons we chose that property in the winter months to enjoy the hot tub and pool because of the cold temperatures at the beach. The electricity in the house is totally messed up because alot of the outlets wouldn't work unless you turn the switches on including the living room and master bedroom upstairs. The ceiling fans remotes never worked so you couldn't adjust the speeds. The living room ceiling fans never worked even after the maintenance guy was there and couldn't figure it out either. Surround sound was not functional or connected. And last but not least the downstairs bathrooms ran out of hot water in approx 5 minutes of taking a shower. The elevator was also non functional and that was a bummer considering we had two handicap elderly women staying with us. It was difficult getting them upstairs to enjoy family time with everyone. As gorgeous as the house and property is. It definitely needs alot of maintenance to make it worthwhile staying again. Would have been extremely disappointed and upset if it had been summer time with with high prices per night.

We received a text message hours before we arrived that Dock Holiday was clean and ready for us. You have to check in at the realty office. I called them them 5 minutes before they closed to let them know we couldn't make it. They waited for us. Checked in, went to rental the door code did not work and realty closed. Called their emergency number. We had 4 different door codes before one would work. We had no towels, no sheets and pillow cases. Had to call emergency again. I don't believe it was cleaned at all. The pool was dirty and when they came to clean it, their was a repair that they had to get. Then AC wasn't cooling noticed air filter clogged, another emergency call. Got to go to grocery store at 10pm. Next wifi downstairs would not work, maintenance had to come install a booster. By mid week we were okay. There is only one bedroom with a mirror. I suggested mirrors in every bedroom. Could not get the grill nor the stove griddle to light. We did not request help, we decided it wasn't worth waiting for someone to come. We wanted to eat, so used frying pans. When the tide goes out, no water to fish in, only crabs there, we didn't see any fish. Judy Boon's is the best home style restaurant with a buffet with fish, shrimp, chicken, pork chops, ribs, an.d a salad bar and many side vegetables and delicious hush puppies only $16.99 for dinner and $11.99 for lunch, with a group of 8 we dined there once for dinner and once for lunch. There are several seafood buffets some no different than Judy Boone's (except no crab legs) they all charch $50+ per person. I would only recommend, if you just need room for a lot of people and are prepared to do a run through when you arrive to get any problems taken care of right away.
