Explore 2+ miles of free, public, low bluff, sandy shoreline. If you like to walk the beach or hike/bike the trails this is the place to be!

Enjoy the breathtaking sunsets over the lake from the front porch or large picture window. Take in nature: the running deer, the soaring eagles via the nature trails in the beautiful forest like environment which is perfect for pitching a hammock, hiking, and scenic walks all along the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. The stairs to Lovely Lake Michigan have been replaced!!

The charming Cape Cod home offers 2700 square feet of living. The home offers an upstairs private master suite (with queen size bed) top of the line linen sheets, private master bath, reading nook, gas fire place, walk in closet , towel warmer, and stunning views of lake Michigan.

Spacious main floor living room with bay window features view of Lake Michigan. Kitchen is stocked with all of the needed essentials to cook, bake or grill. Sliders leading to a two tier deck with patio and picnic table and quiet large backyard for loads of outdoor fun and games; not to mention a hot tub to relax and unwind. The main floor also features 3 bedrooms- each with a special theme of their own. The queens’ beach front bedroom has a queen size bed, spacious closet, and beautiful decor. The patriotic ship room has a spacious closet, tons of extra blankets and pillows, 2 twin memory foam beds, plenty of lighting with reading chair and ottoman.
"Fun with floral" has two twin beds, with new comfortable mattresses, books for young readers, board games and extra linens.

The lower level hosts a second kitchen, dining area, bathroom with heat lamp, laundry room and a second living room, and a pull out sleeper sofa.

This Cute Cape Cod has 4 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 3 baths. Home sleeps 10 with 2 pull out cots.

Wonderful home. Very well appointed. House was very clean, organized, easy to find cooking pans and utensils in the kitchen. Our group of 9 had only good to say about their stay!! We enjoyed the corn hole toss game, hot tub, beach chairs. Great location to the beach and quiet area! Thank you for a wonderful vacation place!!

Muskegon Family Vacation 2025

We had the most amazing time! Rental was everything we hoped for a more. Location was perfect, weather was beautiful, sunsets amazing, neighbors were awesome and plenty to do in the area. Also very responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend Sunsets on Sherman!

One of the best located vacation house

The home is located in an amazing neighborhood. The sunset views are the best I have seen in western Michigan! Very well-organized check-in process. Plenty of activities to do in the home and nearby. Will visit again!

Great location! Lots of room for our family. Great dog beach which is just a 5 minute walk away. Great communication from host. We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was a bit on the small side which it made meal prep challenging at times. It could have been a bit cleaner and need to invest in new mattresses. Overall, a good stay though. The weather was fabulous during our stay.

My family of 8 rented this home for a long weekend beach getaway and it was the perfect place for us. The home was spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. The location was incredible - just a few minutes walk to the beach, which was never crowded. The property owners keep the garage stocked with all things you may need for the beach from chairs to toys and even a wagon to carry it all down. It was such a relief to not have to travel with all that extra stuff! I would definitely rent this home again l and highly recommend it to others. Thank you for a memorable family getaway!

Ideal Lake Michigan Location

This was our family’s second stay at Sunsets on Sherman and it was, again, a great vacation. The home has everything we needed and the location is just a short walk to Lake Michigan. The owners, Valerie and Sean, communicated with us well, and even made sure we knew about the local fireworks.

Great home and location! Right at Lake Michigan and Lake Muskegon. Beautiful beaches! Many things available to do nearby. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores! Love the yard at this home, and all the amenities by being stocked! Our family loved it there!❤️

Rare Find Near Dog Beach

Our family of five adults and two dogs had a great time at this home. The dog beach is a short walk down the dunes and we spent lots of time there. The house was very clean and the backyard was very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Short but very sweet

We were in the area for a wedding but this home and location made it fun for all. Having access to the beach was awesome for all of us, especially the kids. The game closet was great, too. The adults got into the hot tub one evening. All in all a lovely stay.

Clean and inviting. Included things like beach chairs and towels which was convenient. Simple stay instructions. Short, easy drive to stores. Didn’t need to think about anything too much which makes for a great stay.

Beautiful lake house

The property was well maintained and stocked with "cottage" necessities. The location was nice and quiet yet close to Lake Michigan. The hosts were very accommodating and let us move back our check out time since the kids and grandkids had a later flight departure time. Had a great time and the weather was very cooperative.

Best location

The whole place was very warm and inviting. Love the fact that is was a couple minute walk to the beach which was not crowed and clean, great place for your dog to run and play and minutes away for any attraction like the submarine museum, light houses and fishing. Owners texted me the day before and said we can come before check in time and text me again stating no rush to check out due to no renters behind us which was nice to chill in the morning before packing up and headed out the door. I can not wait to go back

Awesome Property

We’ve stayed at multiple homes along Lake Michigan. This home by far was the best equipped. All we need to bring was some groceries and our clothes. Very clean and well maintained. We will definitely return.

Summer family vacation

The cottage and location were great, this would have been five stars across the board except there was a plumbing issue the owner was unable to resolve prior to checkin which resulted in non stop dripping water in the main floor shower/tub.
