"We were a group of 18 and the house fit us great. It is a well thought out, comfortable space for a large group, with plenty of beds, bathrooms, and kitchen ware. We loved the hot tub and the game room. The slopes were right out the back door and down some stairs. A group of us even walked to the village one evening. Great space and location! We did have a problem setting off the fire alarm anytime we used the oven?! And the beds were quite firm. Overall we had a wonderful time being together in this home! "

"The room for the most part was good. Silver Creek had just decided to close down all of the ski resort & some inside shops etc just before we got there due to warm weather & lack of snow. It was like a sad, empty abandoned ghost town. We still enjoyed the Hot Tub, Sauna & pool & ventured anround, over to Snowshoe & village but snow conditions were not great there either. So we spent all week relaxing, eating & hot tub. It snowed on Thursday & real windy. Saw the most beautiful rainbow just out from the patio! Then temps dropped into 20’s just when we’re leaving! Oh well, we had a good time anyway & we’ll be back! "

"Quiet cabin to escape life’s demands! Beautifully renovated cabin near Green Bank Observatory, hiking trails, and ski resorts. Amazing large deck off the back of the cabin and another front deck near the firepit/ring. Hooks, storage cubbies, and bench in the huge mudroom. Baseboard heat worked well. Kitchen stocked with basics. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. Good WiFi. I hope to return again to Starry Night Retreat."

"We loved the property; there were 6 of us staying for a few day ski trip and celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday. The house is very welcoming, comfortable, and charming. The house was very clean and warm after a cold day of skiing:). We brought in our food which worked out perfectly as there are no real food markets near by. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms spacious. The location worked well, snowshoe is only 15-20min drive away, and there is a lovely river behind the property with a trail. We loved the Cass store and it's old world charm. The hosts are very responsive and helpful with information about the house and the area. "

"This was our second time to visit and had a blast! Was hoping for a white Christmas but the weather did not cooperate! Our older kids came to visit for a couple of days and there was plenty for everyone to do on-site. The hot tub was a great hit as well! Well anointed kitchen with plenty of blankets and pillows on those chilly nights. The creek flowed higher this time of year which was great to listen to out by the firepit! If you want peace and quiet - this is the place to go!"
