"We loved this resort, it was beautiful, clean and in a great location. It was fun to watch the huge boats pass Shelter Island, walk in the sun along the waters edge, and relax in the gardens & by the pool. We will definitely be back. Point Loma is a great spot between downtown and the beaches."

"Overall it was a great stay because of staff. Rooms need to be updated for the price you’re charging. The picture of the room that was advertised that we would get is not what we got. Only free thing we got was WiFi. We got a cheaper stay for the last day elsewhere. "

"The room itself is clean, spacious, and relatively modern. Wifi worked well once I finally was able to connect. Unfortunately, the in-room coffee maker only offered decaf. Biggest complaint was the $20 per night fee to park, which is apparently new and wasn't disclosed in the original online booking. This was my second time in two months staying here, and despite the decent room and good location, I don't think I'll be back a third time."

"It’s a Best Western…. It’s not The Four Seasons. If you understand what that means, and you’re okay without TFS extras, it’s 5 stars. The area was walkable to restaurants and marina front strolls safely strolled 4 nights in a row by 55+ couple we are. Close to downtown, we rode our e-bikes to Gaslamp in the day and the went back for dinner for $13 bucks in an uber. Want affordable SanDiego base for a getaway, it works well. "
