"Overall, it was a nice stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. I was there with my family. The hotel's proximity to the Taikoo mall was very convenient. What I found a bit sub par for a world renowned 5 star is the communication. There was some email exchanges with request for a restaurant booking but in the end, the booking was not done correctly. I recently had a similar request at the Rosewood Bangkok and everything was much more professional. The design of the day sheer curtain was also abit odd, leaving it looking very shabby for a lux hotel. Light switches was also quite frustrating to use. The pool is mediocre. Other than that, it's fine."
