Wonderful place to stay in Naoshima. Convenient location near the port and perched on a hill with lovely views of the water. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We especially loved watching the sunset from the little bar. Staff were so friendly and helpful.
Gorgeous design and views. Spacious and comfortable. Lovely setup up the hill, helpful staff and nice breakfast. Tasteful and beautiful - a great stay after exploring the beautiful art of Naoshima.
Room as clean, staff was amazing, location and views are great. But the amenities are very basic, bed was ok.

Liked: Cleanliness
The place is nice enough. Steep steps on the property to most rooms. It's at the top of a hill, which makes for nice views, but difficult walking there if you have a big bag. The staff was not the friendliest and there seemed to be a lot of rules. We did have a nice dinner in the restaurant.
We stayed one night in the Oak Tree House, it was lovely. We had both breakfast and dinner at the Lodge's restaurant and they both wonderful. The staff was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. This is a very convenient spot if you are not staying at one of the museum's accommodations (with a little bit of hiking up the hill to the lodge). We stored our luggage at the Naoshima Tours, they offered the service to deliver and pick-up luggage to and from the lodge so we can go about our museums run without having to worry about that. The operation was seamless.
The view were incredible and the walk wasn't too easy but it was quick from the port. The staff was very helpful and found space for us at dinner last minute. The rooms were very clean but smelled a bit musty.
Beautiful hotel high on a hill above Miyanoura Port. Even higher on the property, the Sunset Terrace for drinks. Our room was extremely nice, two twin beds, a desk, loveseat, balcony with table and two chairs, bathroom with a tub, shower, standard bidet toilet, etc. Our reservation included dinner (that night, paella plus various appetizers and dessert) and breakfast (choice of western or Japanese). Shoes off policy on our area of rooms (lockers at bottom of stairs, slippers to wear from there).
Beautiful location but be prepared for a manageable hike uphill.Breakfasts were delicious- including 7nlim8ted free coffee and juice. Very nice. Loved this place and would highly recommend. Drop your bags off at the Plum, and for a fee they will deliver it and return to the Plum when you leave. The Plum is right across from the ferry terminal.
Quite a few steps up to the room and we did not see an elevator. There is a back way in, however, that should be good.
A lovely visit and wonderful stay. Thank you!
The hotel is located on a hillside not far from Miyaura Port. In the morning, rooms with balconies offer beautiful views and sunrises. Walking to the port doesn’t take long, and along the way you can see the red pumpkin and white birdcage illuminated by lights, creating a unique atmosphere in the evening.
Our stay was truly heartwarming, and we wish to extend our deepest gratitude to Shimasaki-san, she went above and beyond to assist us, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression.
We sincerely hope this kind-hearted lady, who treasures art museums yet is even more devoted to her work in hospitality, finds great success in the future.
We had a great stay at My Lodge Naoshima. It’s a simple and clean environment, the superior rooms facing the sea, with balcony was wonderful to see the sunrise every morning.
The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The deck was also large, and I had a wonderfully relaxing time drinking coffee while listening to the birds. I’d love to stay here again the next time I visit Naoshima.
