Our stay was the most memorable holiday. Thank you Teresa for the amazing hospitality. Anything we needed Teresa had the answer where to find it. Her smile every morning made our day. Breakfast was amazing, the room perfect! We will definitely be returning and have already made referrals. The property has lovely shops and a restaurant across the street that was incredible. Good location for restaurants and visiting Herculaneum in Ercolano. Short train journey to either Naples or Pompeii and small book able tour coach leaves the train station each morning to visit Vesuvius weather permitting. Very comfortable accommodation with breakfast and fully recommend for a unique Italian experience.

Beautiful historic Villa near Herculaneum

My husband and I stayed in Ercolano at Villa Durante for 2 nights on our vacation through Italy. Therese was a wonderful hostess - so kind, gracious and thoughtful. The property is a beautifully restored 18th century villa within 10 minutes of Herculaneum. The train station is a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. After visiting Naples for dinner, I was glad that we stayed outside of the city. Ercolano feels safe and the people are so welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed our time there.

Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning which was very nice, the bed was comfortable, the WiFi didn’t work, it was about a 15 minute walk to the station which wasn’t too bad. We had issues with the bath leaking over the hotel room, it was quite a loud area at nighttime.

If you’re planning to visit Pompeii or Herculaneum, please consider this hotel. It’s absolutely stunning. We had the entire villa to ourselves for two nights and the hosts were very hospitable and the breakfast was very cool too. They come in serve it to you in your room. the location is very close to Herculaneum that you can walk to it.

Nice place, beware the extra costs

Place was as expected, huge, ornately decorated. Very interesting hotel. Surprisingly noisy, both outside and in. When we were due to leave we were told we had to pay extra for our son, for which we had already paid extra through Hotels.com. They quite insistent even though I showed them the booking and we had to leave to ensure we arrived for a tour on time so I paid it to get the hell out of there. I’ll be taking it up with hotels.com. Pretty poor from the hotels point of view, so beware. They need to sort out their pricing with hotels.com. Just made a good stay poor.
