When we entered the room, there was an extremely strong and unpleasant odor. The smell was so severe that it was impossible for us to stay in the room. And the sofa for bed was too dirty even I didn't even want to sit down. Because of this issue, we had to leave immediately and book another hotel for the night. This caused us significant inconvenience and additional expense. We kindly request a full refund for this reservation. Please review this matter as soon as possible.

Melissa was a very accommodating and welcoming host. We had a lovely stay at By the Sea and wish we could have stayed longer. The bathroom was clean and the room was nicely decorated. There was even a hanger to put on the balcony to dry our clothes. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and everything was close by.

Location, location, location. Booked an Ocean view suite and it was wonderful. Nothing better then opening up the balcony door to a fresh ocean breeze and the sound of crashing waves. The room was spacious and well maintained. There are plenty of dinning options and for those that want to cook there are Marts near by and a shared kitchen on property. The host was wonderful with easy check in and help with carrying luggage up to the room. Highly recommend.

O quarto é bem pequeno, fomos alocados na segunda residência que fica do outro lado da rua. O ponto bom, foi que nosso café da manhã era bem embaixo do nosso quarto, e era muito farto e gostoso! Havia um bar bem na esquina, onde fomos à noite para curtir um pouco. Sobre a acomodação, para 1 noite ou 2 no máximo e bom, mas mais que isso, o quarto não comporta, tem apenas um pequeno armário, nossas malas tiveram que ficar no chão. Mas eu voltaria!

I stayed off season (October) and it was a perfect stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable- slept like an angel. Joao was so warm and welcoming and helpful. There's a jacuzzi on the roof that you can book for use. I booked during sunset- what a view! Perfect way to wind down before dinner. Any reviews that complain about having to move to the other building after checking-in at the main reception are absurd- the building is literally a few steps away. Overall, would definitely stay again during low season!! High season- might be noisy depending on the room.

Little gem! The location was excellent, just a few steps to the beach. Shopping was all within walking distance as were restaurants. Parking was a little challenging but we were up to the task.
